Celebrate Friday the 13th in Austin with tattoos, tequila and tarot readings

Austin’s Hotel Van Zandt will offer the public a night filled with tattoos, tequila and tarot card readings on Oct.13 as an homage to the classic Friday the 13th horror movie series.

The event will be held in the hotel lobby from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Following the event, an R&B performance by local band Smooth Nature will be held at Geraldine's restaurant and bar upstairs from 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

More Fall Fun: Is there fall in Texas? These 12 festivals are happening no matter the weather

Tiny Tats ATX, a popular tattoo and piercing shop, will be present with multiple artists who will draw 3-inch "flash tattoos" (pre-designed tattoos). Don't worry; their designs are far from horrifying. Tattoos will only be allowed on arms and legs.

Hopefully, your future won't be scary: Ace of Cups Massage & Wellness, a local herbal apothecary and wellness center, will provide a glimpse into your future with their tarot card readings. Patrón Tequila has also partnered with the hotel and you can grab a Friday the 13th-inspired cocktail while waiting for your tattoo or tarot reading.

This event will be free to attend, and discounted valet parking will be available for $14.
