Celebrate with Christmas beer dinner at D'Agnese's, Holiday in Bloom feast at Hower House
Once Thanksgiving is past, it's time to get into the spirit of Christmas holiday dinners.
D'Agnese's at White Pond is offering its annual beer dinner from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Nov. 28 and 29, featuring a tasting of 12 Christmas beers. They'll be paired with D'Agnese's take on cozy bar food.

In other festive D'Agnese's offerings, the restaurant will offer its classic feast of the seven fish meal of shrimp, calamari, cod, anchovies, octopus, mussels and clams simmered in white wine sauce or hearty tomato sauce for guests to enjoy at home on Christmas Eve. An appetizer portion with crostini costs $13.50 per person and a dinner portion with risotto, pasta and crostini costs $21 each.

Holiday in Bloom dinner
Want to see Akron's Hower House all decked out for the holidays and enjoy a festive dinner?
Hower House Museum will host a Holiday in Bloom dinner at 5:45 p.m. Dec. 11 and 12 at the museum, 60 Fir Hill, Akron. The fundraising event to benefit the Museum Guild's garden project includes appetizers, a four-course dinner on the mansion's first floor, wine and beer and a self-guided tour of the museum.
The dinner, prepared by chef John Bahas of Waterloo Restaurant, will include passed appetizers, a ginger snap cookie amuse bouche, Waldorf salad, poached trout and cheesy corn polenta, beef rib roast with redskin potatoes and asparagus and peach and cinnamon bread pudding.
