Cecily Strong Does Not Appreciate ‘SNL’ Sketch Pitches From Fans, Sympathizes With Melania Trump
Cecily Strong, pitching the return of Saturday Night Live on Seth Meyers’ Late Night, says she has sympathy for Melania Trump, who she has played on SNL. Melania did not ask for this presidential race; her world is her son, and gowns, and looking like a billion bucks, Strong said. She is more disdainful of SNL fans who pitch her their sketch ideas, via Facebook. “I get this weird mean edge I shouldn’t get,” Strong acknowledged.
So, don’t bother pitching Strong a sketch set at an antique exchange in Scotland. Heard it; hated it.
