The NFL is definitely benefiting from Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship, but now there’s more evidence that Kelce is, too.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end had 12 catches for 179 yards and a touchdown during the Chiefs’ 31-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, a game Swift attended at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium.

Kelce’s stellar performance inspired someone in the CBS production crew to see if he played better when Swift was in the same stadium.

And it turns out that there might be a connection: When Swift is in the stands, Kelce averages 99 receiving yards a game — compared to only 46.5 yards when she’s a no-show and Kelce is “left to his own devices,” as the CBS graphic puts it.

After the CBS graphic popped up, NFL commentator and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo (who coincidentally once dated singer Jessica Simpson) said he was impressed with how Kelce is handling the extra attention.

“The way it’s presented, it makes people think, ‘Does he care about football?’ Yes, this guy loves football more than anybody, and this will not affect anything,” Romo predicted.

In fact, he said Kelce might end up getting better on the field “because you can’t go anywhere or do anything with all the people chasing you around.”

Chief fans better hope that’s the case, because Swift starts the international leg of her Eras Tour on Nov. 9 in Buenos Aires, so she won’t be around to show up at Kelce’s games.
