Catherine Zeta-Jones’ Daughter Carys Looks Just Like Her Mom in Their Sweet Family Vacation Photos

It’s hard to believe that Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas’ daughter, Carys, is already 20 years old — and she looks just like stunning mother. The family enjoyed their Christmas holidays in India, and they’ve shared quite a few behind-the-scenes snapshots from their adventures.

Carys posted a gorgeous selfie on her Instagram account with natural light shining on her flowing face. Her long dark locks and soulful gaze madeher look like Zeta-Jones’ twin. It’s easy to see how close this bonded family is because the 54-year-old actress chimed in, “Love you sweetheart ❤️.” Zeta-Jones also showed off the silly side of her family as they mugged for the camera during their vacation on her Instagram account. Carys and Zeta-Jones look like sisters in the images with their dark sunglasses and silly kissing pouts for the camera — they put good use to their selfie stick!

Carys is currently a student at Brown University, but she might be showing interest in Hollywood. While she hasn’t outright said she wants to be an actress like her mom and dad, she has accompanied them to major red carpets. She was most recently seen with Zeta-Jones and Douglas at the Cannes Film Festival in May, wearing a trendy sheer-pink gown. She still has plenty of time to decide what career path she wants to take, but Carys is firm in carving out her own identity — outside of Zeta-Jones and Douglas’ fame.

“When I was younger, I didn’t like the idea of having this name attached to me, this kind of ‘Douglas dynasty’ stuff,” she told Town & Country magazine in 2018. “I think what bothers me the most is that people think I don’t work hard for it, that I don’t need to work hard for it. That anything I do gets handed to me. When, honestly, I feel like it’s the opposite. I feel I need to constantly prove myself to people—that I am not just my parents’ daughter.”

Zeta-Jones is open to the idea for both her adult kids, including son Dylan, 23, to follow in their footsteps, but she seems to think they both have other ideas in mind. “My son graduated from Brown University this year and he studied political science. He’s doing internships and working on political PACs,” she explained to Parade in 2022. “My daughter is currently studying foreign relations and diplomacy at school. They got their brains from me, though my husband likes to differ.” No matter what her children decide, it sounds like they’ve got their priorities straight whether it’s a career in Hollywood or Washington, D.C.
