Catch the Actors from 2019's Best Movies On This Show

It may sound too good to be true, you can catch your favorite actors from this year's hit movies in one place. PBS SoCal is launching its 11th season of 'Variety Studios: Actors on Actors' on January 2nd at 8 PM. The show is Emmy-winning and renowned by actors. This franchise isn't like any other interview show. Instead of journalists conducting interviews, the actors interview each other. This gives the actors the freedom to delve into the topics they really want to discuss like creating the characters and filming process that made their performances and the films they starred in such a hit.

The president and CEO of PBS SoCal, Andrew Russell, is looking forward to the show's Season 11 premiere stating, "We are excited to present with our long-time partner Variety a new season of ‘Variety Studio: Actors on Actors,’ which will be showcasing inspiring and relevant conversations between the entertainment industry’s most sought-after names." No one could blame Russell for his excitement. The lineup for this season's 'Actors on Actors' is top-of-the-line. The show sourced its actors from this year's hit films. Laura Dern, Scarlett Johansson, and Adam Driver will appear for their performances in 'Marriage Stars.'

'Hustler' stars Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu will also appear. Other A-List names include Brad Pitt ('Once Upon a Time in Hollywood'), Renée Zellweger ('Judy'), Eddie Murphy ('Dolemite Is My Name') and Tom Hanks ('A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood'). Breakout stars on the rise from hit films will also appear like Taron Egerton (“Rocketman”), Florence Pugh (“Little Women”) and Sterling K. Brown (“Waves”). What's more interesting is the pairings of the actors that will be interviewing each other. Shia LaBeouf ('Honey Boy') will be paired with Kristen Stewart ('Seberg').

Cynthia Erivo ('Harriet') and Alfre Woodard ('Clemency') will interview each other. Antonio Banderas ('Pain and Glory') is paired with Eddie Murphy ('Dolemite Is My Name'). Public Media Group of Southern California, Andrew Russell, is excited about the stars on this season's lineup, “The incredible lineup of talent this season is sure to be especially compelling for our PBS viewers who look to PBS SoCal and Variety to provide an in-depth look at each year’s extraordinary work in film.” Variety editor-in-chief Claudia Eller urges viewers to tune in for this season especially, “In its eleventh season, Actors on Actors has become a dynamic Emmy Award-winning franchise for Variety and PBS SoCal. This season features conversations with some of the biggest stars in the movie business.”
