Hulu's Castle Rock was like catnip for Stephen King fans, weaving in details from King's books in a new multiverse story and adding texture to these beloved tales. Season two premieres on October 23 (just in time for Halloween!) and horror enthusiasts are delighted to find out what's in store.

True 'Misery'

According to the new teaser trailer, Lizzie Caplan will be portraying a young Annie Wilkes, who appears to be on the run for murder. As any King fan knows, Annie Wilkes (previously played by Kathy Bates) from Misery is one of the most iconic villains in his entire catalogue. Her dark backstory was only hinted at in the novel and movie, so it will be interesting to see how Annie gets to her ankle-breaking mental break.

The new teaser doesn't feature any hints as to updates for the status of The Kid or Jackie Torrance, so we'll see if those threads are picked up or if the show continues to focus on new King stories.
