The cast of ‘Jojo Rabbit’ on the making of their Hitler satire

Taika Waititi wrote and directed “Jojo Rabbit” a satirical comedy about a boy in Hitler’s army who develops a friendship with an imaginary Hilter, played by Waititi. A unique concept that actress Scarlett Johansson was someone hesitant to be a part of. “When I got the script it came to me with the preface of read the script, forget the log line,” she said. Actor Sam Rockwell also got a heads up from his manager. “She said this is different, just read it, it's really good and of course, when you read the script it just blows the top of your head off how unique it is.” Waititi told Yahoo Entertainment he knew it was going to be a hard script to pitch. “I knew it was a hard film to describe, so I ended up not bothering to do that,” he said. “I just wrote a really, really good script that I love and I thought I'm really proud of this.”
