We all gained a baby sister when Good Luck Charlie premiered on Disney Channel in 2010. After the Duncans welcome newborn Charlie (Mia Talerico) into the household, siblings Teddy (Bridgit Mendler), PJ (Jason Dolley), and Gabe (Bradley Steven Perry) must work together to look out for their new family member. As the clan gets caught up in shenanigans, Teddy teaches Charlie (and all of us) life lessons in her video diaries.

Beyond receiving three Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Children’s Program, the sitcom also made Disney history by featuring the channel’s first gay couple. The episode was nominated for a GLAAD Media Award in 2015.

Throughout the years, the actors have enjoyed heartwarming reunions, exciting new projects, and life milestones. Now that it’s been nearly a decade since the show ended in 2014, it’s time to see what the Good Luck Charlie cast has been up to lately.

Bridgit Mendler’s character Teddy is the protective older sister we all wish we had. Throughout the show’s four seasons, we watch the teen go through growing pains, including bad breakups and bad grades, but her family and best friend Ivy are always there to support her.

Before Good Luck Charlie, Mendler took on several roles in teen movies. She made her film debut in 2007 starring alongside Disney alums Alyson Stoner and Lucas Grabeel in Alice Upside Down, then played rich girl and Pretty Committee member Kristen Gregory in the 2008 comedy-drama film The Clique. In 2009, she portrayed high school student Becca in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel and starred alongside Lindsay Lohan in the ABC Family Original Movie Labor Pains.

Mendler also did some voice acting, taking on the title role in Studio Ghibli’s The Secret World of Arrietty (2010). The animated movie also stars Wizards of Waverly Place’s David Henrie and Hannah Montana’s Moisés Arias. The actress appeared in another Disney Channel show before playing Teddy, starring in Waverly Place as vampire Juliet Van Heusen and the love interest of Henrie’s Justin.

During her time on Good Luck Charlie, Mendler also played Olivia White in the Disney Channel Original Movie Lemonade Mouth (2011) and sang on multiple tracks, including “Determinate,” which peaked at number 51 on the US Billboard Hot 100. That same year, she starred in the special Good Luck Charlie, It’s Christmas, where it was announced that Amy Duncan was pregnant with her fifth child (played by Jake Cinoa and Logan Moreau), who joined the show in season 3.

From 2011 to 2015, Mendler dated her Good Luck Charlie costar and onscreen love interest, Shane Harper.

Mendler continued her music career during her Disney days. Her debut album, Hello My Name Is…, came out in 2012, with lead single “Ready Or Not” receiving platinum certification in the U.S. and Canada. The song “Hurricane” is another fan favorite, featuring lyrics comparing herself to a flying squirrel. (Yes, it’s as iconic as it sounds.) Mendler left Hollywood Records in 2015 but continued to release singles and an EP with Black Box from 2016 to 2017.

After Good Luck Charlie ended in 2014, Mendler joined the cast of the NBC comedy series Undateable as cheery waitress Candance. She also made her mark on Netflix, appearing in the streamer’s movie Father of the Year (2018) and the Christmas series Merry Happy Whatever (2019) alongside The Suite Life of Zack and Cody’s Ashely Tisdale.

We might call the accomplished actress Dr. Mendler soon. In 2016, she graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in anthropology. She is currently a PhD student at MIT Media Lab and pursuing a law degree at Harvard.

As for her personal life, Mendler married mechanical engineer Griffin Cleverly in 2019. Costar Jason Dolley shared adorable photos on Instagram of the Good Luck Charlie reunion at Mendler’s wedding. (We’re not crying, you are.)

Jason Dolley’s character may be an airhead at times, but he’s also full of love. Throughout the show, we watch eldest sibling PJ mature and grow, from working at Kwikki Chikki to attending culinary school. In season 3, PJ moves out and becomes roommates with his best friend and bandmate, Emmett. But, of course, he still frequents the Duncan household (and makes his mom do all of his laundry).

Dolley already solidified his status as Disney Channel royalty before his time on Good Luck Charlie. He played high school student Connor in Read It and Weep (2006), time traveler Virgil in Minutemen (2008), and mascot hotshot Pete in Hatching Pete (2009). The actor also starred in the That’s So Raven spinoff series Cory in the House from 2007 to 2008.

After Good Luck Charlie, Dolley appeared in several TV shows, including American Housewife (2018–2019) and The Ranch (2018). In 2022, he starred in the short film Waltz of the Angels.

Dolley is currently dating actress Mia Cole. The couple acted opposite each other in the short film The Unicorn That Never Lies (2023), which Dolley wrote.

Bradley Steven Perry (Gabe Duncan)

While Gabe resents Charlie for stealing the spotlight, he eventually warms up to her (especially after she pukes on Teddy). Bradley Steven Perry plays the troublemaker of the family, and getting on his neighbor Mrs. Dabney’s nerves is his favorite pastime. He knows what he wants, and he’s not afraid to use mischievous methods to get it.

Perry took on small roles before his big break on Good Luck Charlie. In 2008, he appeared in an episode of the CBS series Without a Trace. He also acted in several films throughout 2009, including The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard, Opposite Day, and Old Dogs.

While starring in Good Luck Charlie, Perry also appeared in Disney Channel’s High School Musical spinoff movie Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure (2011). The actor plays dog owner Roger, who competes with Ashley Tisdale’s Sharpay to get their respective pooches a part on Broadway. He also began his role as superhero doctor Kaz in Disney XD’s Mighty Med in 2013.

He continued to work on Disney projects after Good Luck Charlie’s end. He reprised the role of Kaz in the spinoff series, Lab Rats: Elite Force (2016) and starred as Jack Parker in the Disney XD Original Movie Pants on Fire (2014), where all his character’s lies come to life. He also voiced Zevon, son of Yzma from The Emperor’s New Groove, in the animated series Descendants: Wicked World (2016–2017).

When he wasn’t working with Disney, Perry appeared in episodes of Speechless (2017), Schooled (2019–2020), and S.W.A.T. (2020). In 2020, he played teen partier Cormac in the Adam Sandler Halloween movie Hubie Halloween.

In November 2022, Perry launched a podcast called Hit the Brake with former Mighty Med costar Jake Short. Together, they interviewed guests, including Good Luck Charlie’s Jason Dolley and Jessie’s Karan Brar. The pair launched a new podcast in November 2023 titled The Sit and Chat.

Perry began posting cooking videos on his YouTube channel in 2023. A recent upload features him surprising Good Luck Charlie’s Eric Allan Kramer with his TV daughter Mia Talerico as they were making shrimp scampi, and his reaction is priceless.

Perry graduated from the University of Southern California in 2021 with a degree in cinematography and film/video production.

Eric Allan Kramer (Bob Duncan)

The father of the Duncan household takes his career at Bob’s Bugs Be Gone very seriously. But besides being a pest control specialist, Bob also takes care of his family (except for that time he almost dropped Charlie).

Eric Allan Kramer appeared in several films throughout the ‘90s and early 2000s, including Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993) as Little John, True Romance (1993), and American Wedding (2003), the third movie of the American Pie franchise.

Long before Chris Hemsworth played himbo MCU superhero Thor, Kramer wielded the hammer in the TV film The Incredible Hulk Returns (1998), which is a continuation of the series The Incredible Hulk — and you need to see his hilarious blonde locks for yourself.

Kramer made appearances in episodes of popular TV shows, including Cheers (1989), Seinfeld (1992), Two and a Half Men (2003), and That ‘70s Show (2004). He even guest starred in the same Will and Grace episode as Good Luck Charlie castmate Leigh-Allyn Baker in 2005.

Before playing everyone’s favorite Disney Channel TV dad on Good Luck Charlie, Kramer appeared on an episode of Wizards of Waverly Place in 2008 as a basketball coach.

After Good Luck Charlie ended, Kramer took on roles in Nickelodeon's The Thundermans (2015), Mike and Molly (2015–2016), and Guidance (2016). He even came back to Disney Channel for an episode of Sydney to the Max in 2020.

Kramer was a main cast member in the AMC show Lodge 49 (2018–19), which follows an ex-surfer who finds meaning in his life after joining a fraternal order called the Order of the Lynx.

Leigh-Allyn Baker (Amy Duncan)

Nothing gets passed Mama Duncan; she always sees through her kids’ tricks. While Amy works as a nurse, she longs to be on TV. Her dream finally came true in the show’s final season when she landed the job of cohost on Good Morning Denver.

Pre-Good Luck Charlie, Baker was a regular on Will and Grace (1998–2006), playing the latter’s close friend, Ellen. Baker reprised her role from 2017 to 2020 for the show’s reboot. She also starred in the first season of Charmed (1998–1999) as Hannah Webster, whose identity was stolen by murderous warlocks.

Baker has done voice acting for several video games, including Star Trek: Voyager — Elite Force (2000). She also voiced Abby the Cow in the Nickelodeon series Back at the Barnyard (2007–2011).

Before playing Amy Duncan, Baker appeared in two episodes of the Disney Channel sensation Hannah Montana as talk show host Mickey on the “Mack and Mickey” show (2008–2009). She also starred in an episode of Dog with a Blog in 2014 as a strict animal trainer.

After Good Luck Charlie, Baker produced the Disney Channel Original Movie Bad Hair Day (2015), which she starred in alongside Austin and Ally’s Laura Marano. In the film, she plays a cop who is trying to track down a necklace that high school student Monica (Marano) has in her possession.

From 2014 to 2016, Baker voiced Queen Delightful in the Disney XD animated series The 7D, which follows the adventures of Snow White’s seven dwarves before they met the princess.

Baker married entertainment executive Keith James Kauffman in 2004. They have two sons, Griffin and Baker.

Mia Talerico (Charlie Duncan)

On the Disney Channel sitcom, we watched Mia Talerico grow up as she played Charlie. Every time she was on screen, she’d steal the show with her cuteness and zappy one-liners. It’s hard to believe that she’s already 15 (feel old yet?).

Since the show’s end, Talerico starred in the series Mani (2018–2022), which follows an unconventional babysitter who teaches the girl under his care and her friends life lessons.

During her 2023 reunion with TV dad Eric Allan Kramer on costar Bradley Steven Perry’s YouTube cooking show, the trio recreated an iconic photo that was taken while filming Good Luck Charlie. Talerico and Perry also made milkshakes to honor the chocolate catastrophe in season 1.

Talerico is hitting the books and is officially a high school student. In August 2023, she attended her first day of ninth grade.

Raven Goodwin (Ivy Wentz)

We all can relate to Ivy’s need to escape her parents. The Duncan household was her safe haven, and with the help of her best friend Teddy, the two get into and out of trouble.

Before her Disney sitcom days, Raven Goodwin worked alongside prominent actors in several films. She earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination for the 2001 indie drama Lovely and Amazing by playing Annie, the adopted daughter of Brenda Blethyn’s character. She also starred alongside Peter Dinklage in the indie film The Station Agent (2003), garnering a SAG nomination in the process.

Goodwin made several guest appearances in TV shows, including Malcolm in the Middle (2004), Strong Medicine (2005), and Everybody Hates Chris (2006). She also starred as Tangie Cunningham in Nickelodeon’s Just Jordan (2007–2008) and as weight loss camper Becca in ABC Family’s Huge (2010).

During her run on Good Luck Charlie, Goodwin acted in three episodes of Glee and an episode of New Girl where she got schooled on how to play the bells by Winston Bishop (Lamorne Morris). She also played Niecy Patterson in the BET series Being Mary Jane (2013–2019), which followed the life of Mary Jane Paul (Gabrielle Union), a successful TV news anchor.

After the Disney sitcom’s end, Goodwin stayed busy with roles in several films. In 2017, she starred in the comedy movie Snatched as Lew, Emily’s (Amy Schumer) boss. She also portrayed Denise Clark-Bradford in the Lifetime biographical film The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel (2020) and pivoted to the thriller genre in Single Black Female (2022) as Monica, the host of an afternoon talk show whose new assistant has plans to take over her life.

Goodwin continued working on TV shows, too. She starred in the Showtime series SMILF from 2017 to 2019, which centers on the life of single mom Bridgette (Frankie Shaw). She also made a guest appearance in two episodes of Abbott Elementary in 2022 and 2023, playing the mother of one of Barbara’s (Sheryl Lee Ralph) students.

In October 2021, Goodwin married entrepreneur Wiley Battle in Santorini, Greece, alongside their daughter, Riley.

Micah Stephen Williams (Emmett Heglin)

Micah Stephen Williams’ Emmett may not be the most talented drummer, but he’s an excellent dancer (just look at those moves at the school dance). Not only is he “the Vibe” of “PJ and the Vibe,” he’s also PJ’s best friend. But that isn’t the only reason he’s constantly hanging around the Duncan household (his unrequited love for Teddy might also have something to do with it).

Williams made his acting debut through an appearance on the NBC TV series The Pretender (2000). In 2003, he played a minor role in the Jim Carrey comedy Bruce Almighty.

He made several guest appearances on TV shows, including Grounded for Life (2001), Lizzie McGuire (2003), Joan of Arcadia (2004–2005), and The Office (2009). In 2006, Williams starred in Like Mike 2: Streetball, which is about a boy who finds a pair of Michael Jordan’s shoes that give him special basketball skills.

Before Good Luck Charlie, Williams also appeared in the Disney Channel Original Movie Jump In (2007) as Li’l Earl Jackson opposite Corbin Bleu.

Since the end of the Disney Channel sitcom, Williams has taken on a few more film and TV roles, playing a boxing fan in the sports film The Challenger (2015) and making a guest appearance on the crime drama series Snowfall (2019).

Patricia Belcher (Mrs. Dabney)

While Estelle Dabney claims she despises the Duncans, it's clear she has a soft spot for the family. Before starring as their grumpy yet loveable neighbor, Patrica Belcher took on the science fiction and horror genres. She appeared as a ward nurse in the film Flatliners (1990) and a hospital clerk in Species (1995). In Jeepers Creepers (2001), she played psychic Jezelle, who tries to warn siblings Trish (Gina Philips) and Darry (Justin Long) about the deadly creature “the Creeper.”

Belcher starred in several TV shows throughout the 2000s as well, such as playing the landlady in the ABC sitcom The Norm Show (1999–2001). She also had a recurring role in the Fox crime drama Bones as federal prosecutor Caroline Julian (2006–2017).

The actress starred alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel in the 2009 drama 500 Days of Summer, where she played Tom’s (Gordon-Levitt) co-worker who gets married.

She continued to take on roles on Disney Channel after her run on Good Luck Charlie. Belcher voiced Ms. Hightower, the principal of Willy T. Ribbs Middle School in Disney Channel’s The Proud Family (2003). She later reprised her role in the film The Proud Family Movie (2005) and the 2022 reboot series The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. In 2015, she guest starred with Bradley Steven Perry as a veterinarian in an episode of I Didn’t Do It. She recently starred in the Disney sitcom Villains of Valley View (2022), playing the landlady to a family of supervillains.

Outside of Disney Channel, Belcher had a recurring role as Superintendent Bullard in the NBC sitcom A.P. Bio (2018–2021) and appeared in the films Kajillionaire (2020), Father Stu (2022), and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023). You may also recognize her from Geico commercials, including one that involved the band Europe and a microwave countdown.

Shane Harper (Spencer Walsh)

Shane Harper’s Spencer had an epic redemption arc throughout Good Luck Charlie’s four seasons. After getting caught cheating in season 1 (that savage smoothie breakup will always be iconic), he and Teddy get back together in season 2 while working at a theme park together.

Before his time as a Disney Channel heartthrob, Harper was flexing his dancing skills. You can catch him trying to get Sharpay to sign his yearbook in High School Musical 2 (2007). He was also a member of the Nick 6, a dance troupe on the Nickelodeon series Dance on Sunset (2008).

During his run on Good Luck Charlie, Harper also appeared in an episode of Wizards of Waverly Place in 2011 as Fidel, a stuck-up member of an elite wizards society, and had a recurring role on MTV’s Awkward (2013–2014).

In 2011, Harper launched a music career with his self-titled debut album. The music video for his song “Rocketship” features Good Luck Charlie’s Bridgit Mendler, whom he was dating at the time. Since then, he’s released several other projects, including EPs in 2012, 2016, and 2020.

After the sitcom’s end, Harper played Robbie Gould in ABC’s 2017 Dirty Dancing remake. That same year, he starred as Sam Grover in the film Flock of Four. Since then, he’s moved onto grittier roles in several Starz series, including a drug dealer in Hightown (2020–2021) and an heir to a crime family in Power Book IV: Force (2022–present). He also appeared in the Hulu drama A Teacher (2020).
