Cassandra Peterson, also known as Elvira, the Mistress of Darkness, just showed everyone that 72 is the coolest, chicest age, and we’re obsessed with her latest red carpet appearance!

On March 26, Peterson stepped out onto the red carpet for the premiere of The First Omen. You can see the photos below:

As you can see, Peterson looks absolutely stunning as she rocks an all-black ensemble of a black crewneck, a sheer, flowing black skirt, and matching black leather combat boots. Along with the simple, gothic-chic look, Peterson let her long, curly red hair down, truly completing this hypnotic, minimalist look.

Now, Peterson actually went to another red carpet event a few days prior, it being the first one she’s done since 2021.

Three days prior, on March 23, Peterson arrived at the Human Rights Campaign’s 2024 Los Angeles Dinner, rocking a similar all-black look (but that time, she donned a red lip to go with her fiery long hair). You can see the photo below:

We love that Peterson channels her alter ego of Elvira in her own, hippie-chic way, and it just shows that 72 has never looked cool and confident.

In a previous interview with Yahoo Entertainment, she talked about how she didn’t always have the showstopping confidence she has now, and that she was, in fact, very shy growing up. She said. “I don’t know where my confidence came from, because I really suffered most of my life from having no confidence. Oh, my gosh. I was a really, really shy loner kind of kid, hanging out by myself.”
