Carolina Guerra Joins ‘Animal Kingdom’; Kathryn Kates In ‘Feed The Beast’

Carolina Guerra has booked a recurring role on TNT’s upcoming drama series Animal Kingdom, from John Wells Prods. in association with Warner Horizon Television. It centers on 17-year-old Joshua “J” Cody (Finn Cole), who moves in with his wild, freewheeling grandmother (Ellen Barkin) and uncles in their Southern California beach town after his mother ODs. He is pulled into their life of indulgence and excess and soon discovers that it’s all being funded by the bank robberies they commit. Guerra will play Lucy, an earthy, sexy woman, who is Baz’s sometime lover. She lives with her son in Mexico, and is the sister of Marco, a mid-level drug trafficker who has a history with the Codys. Guerra recently starred in indie feature Oro y Polvo and had a co-starring role on Starz series Da Vinci’s Demons. She is repped by Paradigm and Talent on the Road Management.

Kathryn Kates is set as a recurring opposite David Schwimmer and Jim Sturgess on AMC’s new drama series Feed the Beast. Based on the Danish series Bankerot, Feed The Beast is a drama about two best friends, Tommy Moran (Schwimmer), and Dion Patras (Sturgess), who take one last shot at their dream of opening a restaurant. They push each other, welcome love into their lives and overcome their demons. They also betray, backstab, manipulate and coerce each other into the most dangerous situations imaginable. Kates will play Ruth Klein, a know-it-all, tough accountant who works for Aidan (John Doman). Kates just wrapped a major recurring role on Shades of Blue. She is repped by Abrams Artists Agency and manager Bob McGowan.
