Carmelo Anthony, The Kid Mero Launch Digital Series and Podcast (Exclusive)

Add Carmelo Anthony to the list of athletes with their own podcasts.

The retired NBA star will team up with The Kid Mero to host 7PM in Brooklyn, a digital series and podcast that’s set to premiere Dec. 7. The show comes from Wave Sports + Entertainment, the company behind athlete- and sports-driven shows like New Heights With Jason and Travis Kelce, Podcast P with Paul George and recently relaunched The Right Time with Bomani Jones and a host of digital and social media brands.

Anthony will also be an executive producer of the show via his Creative 7 Productions, along with co-founder Asani Swann. 7PM in Brooklyn, which will stream on YouTube and all major podcast platforms on Thursdays, will feature the hosts’ takes on basketball, Anthony’s 19-year NBA career and current happenings in sports and culture.

“7PM in Brooklyn is not just a sports show; it’s an immersive journey that dives into the heart of the game and the rich culture that surrounds it,” Anthony said in a statement. “As co-host and executive producer, I’m looking forward to bringing a unique blend of storytelling to fans, merging our passion for sports and culture with our commitment to creating intentional, purpose-driven content.”

Added Mero, formerly co-host of Desus and Mero, “Growing up in the Bronx as a die-hard Knicks fan, basketball was everything. Getting a chance to use my ten-plus years of success in entertainment to cook up some magic with a legend like Melo and my guys at WSE is a no brainer. 7PM in Brooklyn is gonna be a must-watch for all basketball fans, Merodamus told you!”

Anthony and Swann will executive produce 7PM in Brooklyn with WSE’s Brian Verne, Mack Sovereign, St. Matthew-Daniel, EJ Wright and Pierce Simpson.
