Carly Steel Named ‘Entertainment Tonight’ Correspondent

We’ll be seeing more of Carly Steel on Entertainment Tonight. Steel, who has worked as a special correspondent for ET since joining in 2013 to cover the Cannes Film Festival, has been named a correspondent for the top syndicated series.

Steel previously served as a special correspondent for ET’s sister show, The Insider, and was a correspondent for TV Guide Network’s newsmagazine Hollywood 411. She has interviewed numerous celebrities, hosted a pre-Oscar roundtable with Leonardo DiCaprio and covered premieres for Edge of Tomorrow, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and Spectre. She also hosted live premiere coverage for Yahoo! Movies and served as a five-time co-host of the American Music Awards Live pre-show for dick clark productions. As an actress, Steel appeared in features Mortdecai and Unstoppable and next will be seen in The Brits Are Coming and Headgame. She’s repped by the Alternative and ASManagement.

Steel joins the two-time Emmy-winning newsmagazine, now in its 36th season, following the news yesterday that CBS News veteran Sharon Hoffman has been named executive producer at Entertainment Tonight and The Insider. CBS Corp had been looking for a new ET EP since Brad Bessey exited in August.

Entertainment Tonight is distributed by CBS Television Distribution.
