Tory candidate slammed for suggesting food bank users struggle with budgeting

Jenny: While I disagree with his suggestion that people apply for a payday loan, I do agree with his suggestion that people need to learn how to budget. Of course, if someone has very little money it would seem futile to budget, however, money management strategies are extremely effective in helping a person gain control of their lives. Having free classes at the food bank for people who want to learn about budgeting, how to find employment, how to avoid debt, etc. is a wonderful suggestion. I think instead of heckling this candidate, perhaps they might want to consider some of his suggestions.
