Carl Thomas, Estelle, Jon B & More R&B Legends Invade Overtown In Miami

Carl Thomas, Estelle, Jon B and more put on a memorable show at the Overtown Music & Arts Festival 2016.

The blistering heat couldn’t stop a few legendary R&B singers from taking over Miami’s Historical Overtown. During the sixth annual Overtown Music And Arts Festival, Headliner Market Group recruited a star-studded line-up of seasoned singers like Estelle, Jon B, Ameriie, and more to perform their classic hits for the entire neighborhood.

Thousands of Dade county citizens invaded the festival free of charge to watch high-end performances, turn-up with radio stations like 99 JAMZ and Hot 105, and nourish themselves with unique meals provided by various local food trucks and vendors. While the kids had fun doing arts and crafts by the entrance, everyone else crowded around the main stage to while DJ’s like Stevie J hyped up the crowd before the slew of R&B’s finest hit the stage.

Tito Punete, Jr kept the show diverse with a beautiful ode to his late father Tito Punete and his godmother Celia Cruz with help from singer Melina. After Ameriie, Jeremih, and Estelle blessed the crowd with a medley of their hits, the line-up turned into a soulful, throwback showcase that took everyone in the crowd and behind the stage way back in time.
