Caribou Coffee will soon make its official return to Columbus after a decade.

A new Caribou Coffee drive-thru location will open on Aug. 29 at 7010 E Main St. in Reynoldsburg. The new location is the second Caribou Coffee franchise in Ohio for Mike Mariola Restaurants, which also owns and operates a Caribou Coffee location in Wooster, as well as The City Square Steakhouse, Mariola Italian and The Rail.

"We are excited to bring the high-quality, real ingredients of Caribou Coffee back to Columbus," said Mike Mariola, founder of Mike Mariola Restaurants. "Our first location in Wooster was a success, and we know that the people of Reynoldsburg will love Caribou Coffee just as much."

The compact "Caribou Cabin" is about 650 square feet and features a drive-thru and walk-up window as well as an outdoor patio.

Caribou Coffee offers coffee, espresso, teas and other beverages, in addition to breakfast sandwiches, baked goods and other snacks.

Caribou Coffee shops left the Columbus market in 2013. Caribou Coffee announced last fall that it would return to Ohio in its first-ever domestic franchise location in Wooster. Mike Mariola Restaurants plans to open more locations across Ohio, including the Dayton and Cincinnati areas.

To celebrate its grand opening in Reynoldsburg, Caribou Coffee will donate $1 from every transaction on Sept. 2 and Sept. 3 to the non-profit Feed the Kids Columbus.

The Reynoldsburg Caribou Coffee will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
