Carey Hart expected to be dad-shamed when he shared a photo of Jameson, his toddler son with P!nk, riding next to him on a dirt bike. So, when he wrote the caption on the photo he posted Monday, he reminded the “parent police” that he’s a professional with a lot of experience.

There were, of course, some comments from people worried that Jameson, who turns 2 on Dec. 26, wasn’t wearing the proper gear for his ride.

“Even ‘pros’ have accidents!” one commenter said. “I am not a parent by the way. Do what the hell you want with your child! Even if you are a responsible parent, it might be good for you to remember he/she is counting on you to keep him/her safe and sound.”

Another said, “We’re concerned for the little guy’s safety, not parent police.”

Still, fans mostly cheered on Hart. Some people noted that they enjoyed being taught to ride at a young age, and they applauded Hart for being such a hands-on dad.

“I’m going to guess Carey wasn’t rippin Jumps and putting his kid in danger.. Dudes been riding for how many years now,” a fan said.

“Awesome!” wrote another. “You are what Dad’s should be. Spend time with the kids and create experiences they will remember for life. Some of my earliest memories are on motorcycles with my Dad. Rock on!”

Others pointed out that the bike didn’t even appear to be moving.

Hart wasn’t too concerned about what others would think. In other photos, he provided a glimpse of P!nk and their daughter, 7-year-old Willow, taking their own turns behind the wheel.

Hart is familiar with parenting critics, so he’s used to shaking them off. In August, he was criticized for taking Jameson to a restaurant when he had hand, foot and mouth disease.

Then again, he elicited compliments for being relatable in November when he took both kids for bar food because P!nk was working and he was too tired to cook dinner.
