Cardinals RB Keaontay Ingram salary, contract details, salary cap implications

The Arizona Cardinals selected running back Keaontay Ingram with the first of two sixth-round selections they had in the 2022 NFL draft.

He and two other Day 3 draft picks were the first to sign contracts with the team.

We have the details of his rookie deal, as outlined by SI.com’s Howard Balzer.

Keaontay Ingram salary, contract details

His contract is for four years and more than $3.8 million total.

Ingram will make the league minimum for the duration of his rookie deal. His salary in 2022 will be $705,000. That will increase to $870,000 in 2023, $985,000 in 2024 and $1.1 million in 2025.

He receives a signing bonus of $170,588.

Salary cap implications

Ingram’s cap hit will be a little more than his salary each year. His signing bonus is charged over the four years of the deal, which is $42,647 each year.

As such, his cap hit each year will be as follows:

  • 2022: $747,647

  • 2023: $912,647

  • 2024: $1.03 million

  • 2025: $1.14 million
