Since bringing the iconic “Foxy Brown” to life in 1974, Pam Grier has made a legendary career out of playing powerful, yet vulnerable, interesting Black women. She’s not slowing down anytime soon. During a recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” the 74-year-old actress teased one of her highly-anticipated upcoming projects.

Back in 2022, Grier revealed that she was writing a project for herself and rap superstar Cardi B to star in together. When a fan inquired about the status of the collaboration, the “Jackie Brown” actress explained that the TV series based on her memoir, “Foxy: My Life in Three Acts,” is up next, then she’ll be in production on the pole dancing story.

“I really wanted to work with [Cardi] and it could be in maybe two years at the theater because I’m now learning how to pole dance and it’s taken a minute, but it’s a lot of fun,” Grier said. “It’s a wonderful story. I don’t wanna give it away, but it’s perfect for her because she’s a great mom.”

Cohen wondered if the “WAP” rapper would be portraying a well-known entertainment character, asking Grier if Cardi’s character is a “pole dancer, mom with a heart of gold?” The icon replied, “I’m the pole dancer and she teaches me.”

We don’t know the details of the story and we’re already making plans to see this one. Frankly, you had us at Pam Grier. Add in Cardi B teaching her how to pole dance and we’re definitely interested. With the famed actress helping to craft the story and the rapper bringing her authentic life experience to the project, we’re assuming there will be more to this than just an exploitative stripper story.

Up next, Grier co-stars alongside Deborah Ayorinde in Season 2 of the Prime Video horror anthology, “Them: The Scare,” premiering April 25.
