Cardi B has always been vocal about her infatuation with history and politics, and this time, it has landed her an extra special co-sign. On Wednesday (Sept. 28), the Bronx rapper was featured in the latest episode of Hot Ones, where one specific answer led her to show off her knowledge of World War II. The official X account for the History Channel caught wind of the viral clip and gave her some words of encouragement.

After host Sean Evans asked her about the time she took David Letterman to get a chopped cheese, the “Bodak Yellow” creator responded by saying the real highlight of that day was visiting the house of the 32nd president of the US.

“What stays in my mind is that I went to FDR’s house. If anybody knows me, I love FDR and I love Eleanor Roosevelt,” she began. “He got us through the Great Depression with a war, only president that got elected four times, while he’s in a wheelchair. As I grew up reading a lot about Eleanor Roosevelt, she had a very sad life… Eleanor wanted her space, just like me.”

She enthusiastically continued, “I saw the room where Churchill and FDR was talking about the nuke. That is crazy to me, like, I’m really here! I don’t know why, but I’m obsessed with war. I’m obsessed with World War II… I’m obsessed with just learning everything about it. So for me to be in the same room that Churchill and FDR was discussing the nuke? It was just such a moment for me.”

The History Channel’s X account typed under the viral clip, “Looks like you may have a history career in your future @iamcardib.” The 30-year-old hitmaker excitedly replied, “OMGGG.” Take a look at the interaction below and the full episode above.

On the music front, Bardi dropped off her most recent single “Bongos” featuring Megan Thee Stallion. After premiering the eye-catching music video on Sept. 8, 2023, the duo delivered a fiery performance of the record at the 2023 MTV VMAs. Outside of her own tracks, the Invasion Of Privacy rapper can be heard dropping impressive guest features on collaboraions like “JEALOUSY” with Offset, “Put It On Da Floor Again” with Latto, and “Point Me 2” with FendiDa Rappa.
