Cardi B’s Latest Breakup From Offset Feels Like It Might Be the Final One

When is an on-and-off relationship finally off? To outsiders, it may seem like a never-ending cycle between two people, but to those involved, there is usually a point where one person simply says “enough” — and it seems like Cardi B has finally hit that point with her husband, Migos rapper Offset.
Over the weekend, rapper Blueface publicly accused Offset of cheating on the “WAP” singer with his former flame, reality star Chrisean Rock. As angry as some of Cardi’s fans were on her behalf, the rapper and mother of two didn’t seem fazed by the allegations.

Cardi took to Instagram Live to address the cheating rumors, but not in the way you might expect someone who is trying to save a relationship to do. Instead, she said she had no idea what’s going on, as she has been “single for a minute now.”
“When it comes [to] today’s events and stuff, I don’t think it’s true,” she explained on her Monday live stream. “I don’t care to find out because I’ve been single for a minute now. But I’ve been afraid — not afraid — I just don’t know how to tell the world,” she said, per People.

While the revelation of Cardi B’s singlehood shocked some fans, she laughed and noted that she had been dropping “clues” on social media that she was now rolling solo. “The last time I got on Live, I wanted to tell you guys, but I didn’t know how to tell you, so I changed my mind,” she said. “But it’s been like this for a minute now.”
It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time Cardi has broken up with Offset due to infidelity rumors. But each time, they’ve found their way back to each other. Their first notable breakup occurred in December 2018 amidst allegations of Offset’s infidelity. However, they reconciled a few months later, with Cardi declaring her forgiveness during the 2019 Grammy Awards. In September 2020, Cardi filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences, but later dismissed the filing after a public reconciliation with Offset.
However, this time, Cardi’s comments seem to indicate a stronger and more definitive break from her husband, even as Offset has actively tried to fight the stigma coming with the cheating rumors. Hopefully, if the two are parting ways for good, they are able to find a way to do so as amicable co-parents.
