Cardi B Has Got T.I.'s Back Despite Hymen Check, 'Right Or Wrong, He's My Brother'

Cardi B is the type of lady that you want on your side because no matter what happens, she's got your back. The "Money" rapper recently expressed that she backs T.I. regardless of if he is "right or wrong,"

Cardi sat down with PEOPLE to promote the new season of the Netflix show, "Rhythm + Flow" which features T.I., Chance the Rapper, and her as judges.

During her interview, she detailed the close relationship she shares with her fellow judges and they remind her of her high school friends.

Cardi Sticks Up For T.I.

The "Bodak Yellow" rapper gushed over the experience working with hip hop legends and said that they mixed like peanut butter and jelly.

“First of all, it was such a good time to film with T.I. and Chance the Rapper,” Cardi told PEOPLE. “We had such a good connection and we had like really good conversations and they were just so funny. It was like when you go to school and you sit with your classmates and y’all at the table, they crack jokes and stuff. That’s how it felt.”

Cardi did not specifically mention T.I.'s controversial comments about how he takes an annual trip to the gynecologist to check if his daughter, Deyjah's hymen is still intact but she alluded that even the gyno controversy would not break her friendship up with her co-host.

“Every single time that I see them on social media I be like, ‘That’s my brother, that’s my brother.' If they wrong or right, that’s my brother and that’s that.”

She continued by saying that she loves working on the show and it was thrilling seeing which show competitor would be sent home.

“When we first started shooting, I didn’t know what I was gonna get myself into. But every single day I get on set I was just excited to see what the contestants were going to come up with…who’s gonna be next to get eliminated.”

What Did T.I. Say?

T.I. appeared on the "Ladies Like Us" podcast where he detailed how he makes sure his daughter is not sexually active. "We have yearly trips to the gynecologist to check her hymen," T.I. told the two female hosts. "Yes, I go with her," he said when the hosts questioned if he was serious.

He went on to tell a story about how the doctor always maintains a level of professionalism and made his daughter, Deyjah sign a document so that her health information can be shared with her father. "Is there anything that you would not want me to know?" T.I. said to his daughter at the time. "See doc, ain't no problem."

How Does Deyjah Feel

T.I.'s daughter, Deyjah, is 18-years-old and is off at college but has not publicly addressed her father's comments. However, the young star "liked" several social media posts that said her dad was too controlling.

After the media picked up on her social shade that she was throwing at her famous father, Deyjah deleted her whole Instagram feed.

She also appeared to think twice about dirty dancing when she was caught on Lil Wayne's daughter, Reginae Carter's Instagram video.

The public may get the answers they crave about T.I.'s opinion and how his daughter feels because he is scheduled to set the record straight on Jada Pinkett Smith's "Red Table Talk" on November 25.
