Cardi B Celebrates Daughter Kulture's 1st Birthday Despite NYC Blackout

Cardi B was not going to let a little thing like a blackout get in the way of her daughter's first birthday party.

Cardi and Offset threw their daughter Kulture an epic bash on Saturday, right in the middle of a blackout in New York City that left thousands without power.

"The fact that I wanted my daughter party in 42nd street instead of Jersey and to my f--king luck New York had a power outage right on that Deum area," Cardi captioned a video, thanking everyone for showing up to the big occassion.

She added, "but WOW how a negative situation turn into a LITUATION !!!Omg I had soooooo much f--kin fun and my daughter as well .Thank ya sooo much everybody that came ,I know my daughter won’t remember this day but when she older and have her kids this will be a good story to tell lols.I will be daydream this day for ma long ❤️❤️❤️❤️.Ok I’m exhausted nobody hit me till like 2pm."

Cardi recapped the evening in a video, telling fans, "The lights came completely back on, but then they came right back off when I was about to cut the cake ... And then they cut the lights back on and nobody wanted to leave! And it’s ‘cause of y’all, and it was such a fun party, thank you so much."

She also shared a slew of videos on her Instagram Story, showing Kulture in her rainbow birthday dress, a dessert table with two birthday cakes, and a huge crowd of people dancing and having a good time.

Kulture officially turned 1 on Wednesday.

According to Con Edison, the power outage affected approximately 72,000 people in Manhattan’s midtown and Upper West Side areas.
