A car crashed through a Chipotle restaurant in Flagstaff on Tuesday afternoon, driving through a south-facing glass window and stopping in the dining area, Flagstaff Police reported.

The crash happened around 5:10 p.m. at the Chipotle Mexican Grill Restaurant on W. Riordan and S. Milton roads. The driver and two customers were taken to Flagstaff Medical Center for emergency care and one customer was treated on scene, police said. The severity of the injuries was not disclosed.

The driver did not appear to have been impaired, police said.

"Witnesses on scene reported the vehicle was traveling toward the restaurant at which time the operator appeared to suffer a medical emergency while operating the vehicle," police reported.

The crash remains under investigation. Utility and building inspection personnel were called on scene to assess the damage and the restaurant will be temporarily closed while it undergoes repair.
