‘Captain Marvel’ Composer Pinar Toprak Inks With Artist International Group

EXCLUSIVE: Pinar Toprak, the Emmy-nominated composer, conductor and performer who has lent her talents to everything from the Brie Larson-led Captain Marvel to Epic Games’ Fortnite, has joined Artist International Group for representation in conjunction with her long-time agents, Kraft-Engel Management.

Specializing in creating thematic scores for superhero sagas, comedies and TV series of varying genres, Toprak with the aforementioned projects became the first female composer to score both a film and video game with gross revenues of over $1 billion and $5 billion, respectively.

Previously, Toprak has composed the new theme for Amazon Prime Video Sports, used on NFL’s Thursday Night Football; composed and produced the soundtrack for Disney theme parks, including the new Epcot theme; written and produced music for Christina Aguilera’s 2019 Xperience Live Show in Las Vegas; and conducted Billie Eilish’s performance of “No Time to Die” at the 94th Oscars. Most recently, the Turkish-American creative scored video game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, for which she is nominated for a Society of Composers and Lyricists Award for Outstanding Original Score for Interactive Media.

Toprak also recently scored Paramount’s hit animated film PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie and the Netflix comedy Family Switch, starring Ed Helms and Jennifer Garner. Other notable credits include scores for The Lost City starring Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum, Geoff Johns and Greg Berlanti’s Stargirl, David S. Goyer and Damien Kindler’s Krypton, HBO miniseries McMillions, Francis Lawrence’s Slumberland, and Jason Moore’s Shotgun Wedding starring Jennifer Lopez.

The recipient of an ASCAP Shirley Walker Award and three International Film Music Critics Association Awards for Best Original Score, Toprak’s dynamic style has attracted accolades across genres and earned her an Emmy nomination for Best Original Score as well as a spot on the Academy Awards shortlist.

In addition to Kraft-Engel Management, Toprak will continue to be represented by Blau Keane Law Group and White Bear PR.
