A new two-day outdoor music festival is coming to Hartford on June 29 and 30 at Bushnell Park.

The Capitol Groove music festival will feature 14 nationally recognized rock, folk, Americana and indie bands with Dispatch and The Revivalists among the headliners.

Nine acts were announced Friday. The artists playing on June 29 include The Revivalists, the popular rock act from Louisiana; Shakey Graves, an eclectic indie Americana act; Trampled by Turtles, the Minnesota folk/bluegrass/pop ensemble; Say She She, the female “discodelic” soul trio from Brooklyn and The Cap Groove All-Stars, a group which appears to have been created for, and named after, this festival.

On June 30, the feature acts are Dispatch, the indie roots band originally from Vermont and based in Boston; The Head and the Heart, the six-piece alt-folk act from Washington state; Guster, the quirky pop band that formed in 1991 at Tufts University near Boston; and Trevor Hall, the reggae-tinged Greenwich-born singer/songwriter.

Several acts have yet to be announced.

Many of the bands have played in Connecticut before. The Revivalists and The Head and the Heart shared a bill at the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater in Bridgeport this past July.

Gates open at 11 a.m. on both days of the festival, and the music plays from noon to 10 p.m. There will be food trucks, vendors and multiple bars on the festival grounds. Attendees will not be allowed to bring in food and drink except refillable water bottles. Once you leave the grounds, you will not be allowed to re-enter.

The Hartford Dash shuttle will extend its usual downtown service for the weekend of the festival.

Tickets are on sale. A two-day pass for the full festival costs $189 and a one-day pass is $99. VIP passes, which include premium seats and access to a VIP lounge and a separate entrance, are $435 for two days and $250 for one day, with no early bird discounts.

Children under 12 are free.

The festival will be a cashless event, meaning that the RFID bracelets that serve as admission tickets can be connected to credit cards. Credit cards and some cash apps may also be useable.

Capitol Groove comes from GoodWorks Entertainment, the Connecticut-based concert booking and production company that owns the two Infinity Hall venues in Hartford and Norfolk and created the summer Hartford Live concert series on the lawn of the Old State House. GoodWorks also organizes the summertime Rhythm & Roots Festival of Music & Dance in Charleston, Rhode Island.
