Cannibal Corpse Share Statement Following Guitarist’s Arrest for Assault, Burglary

Pat O’Brien was arrested for allegedly breaking into a neighbor’s home and charging at an officer with a knife while his house was on fire

Metal band Cannibal Corpse have shared a statement following the arrest of their guitarist, Pat O’Brien. On December 10, O’Brien allegedly broke into a neighbor’s home in Tampa, Florida and charged at a sheriff’s deputy with a knife. His house was reportedly on fire. O’Brien was booked on charges of aggravated assault and burglary.

“While we can offer no further information about the incident, we wanted everyone to know that Pat is getting the help he needs and appreciates the love and support from Cannibal Corpse fans around the world,” the statement reads. The band continue by stating that they will be touring as planned with no missed shows, though it is unclear whether or not O’Brien will be joining.
