Camila Cabello Responds to Rumors She Had a Fling with Drake — and Reveals She 'DM'ed Him'

"You know what? I love that man, I love him," Cabello told Alex Cooper on Wednesday's episode of 'Call Her Daddy'

Camila Cabello is opening up about her recent trip to Turks and Caicos with Drake.

The "Crying in the Club" singer, 27, addressed the viral photos of her jet skiing with the rapper in Turks and Caicos in December. The pair appeared to be smiling and having an animated conversation while lounging on a yacht around the same time in an interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast on Wednesday.

“You were on a vacation… with Drake,” Alex Cooper said to Cabello, asking her if the two stars have "ever been a thing."

However, Cabello laughed and explained that it wasn't just a vacation.

"Well, first of all, I wouldn't say just straight up vacation. It was vacation plus some work," she said, adding: "But I will say, you know what? I love that man, I love him."

"We all love that man. The internet really loved him recently," the host, 29, replied, referring to a NSFW leaked video that went viral last month and appeared to feature the rapper, 37, per Uproxx.

Cooper then doubled down on asking Cabello whether she and Drake have been romantically linked to which the "Havana" artist gave a cheeky response: "Have I ever had what? A beautiful artistic collaboration with him? I may or may not have."

Cabello referred to their excursion as a "homie, friends trip."

"I love him so much, and I really listened to him a lot during the writing process for my album, and I really thought that he would like my album...So I DM'ed him and I was like, 'Hey, I would love to play you my album. I honestly feel like you would really love it.' Because I listen to him a lot, and I really do feel like musically in a lot of ways we like the same things," she said.

Cabello explained that they hung out and he "loved" her album.

"It was such a surreal moment to play Drake my songs," she said. "That's another one of those things that's like, wow I never would have expected this would happen. It's a dream. And he's so generous and so kind."

Cabello continued: "Honestly, I will say, I love him. And that has been such a fun part of this experience."

The former Fifth Harmony member recently wiped her Instagram, indicating her new album era was on its way, as she showed off her new platinum hair style and began posting moody new photos, seemingly teasing new music.

Cabello also recently opened up about her next album — her first since 2022's Familia, which has yet to be announced — in a new interview with Puss Puss, saying, "I think it is part of a kind of reinvention."
