Camila Alves McConaughey Shares Her Best Party Recipes at a Star-Studded Affair in Texas

Camila Alves McConaughey knows how to throw a good party, and she’s sharing her professional (but very approachable) tips with the world.

The lifestyle expert recently hosted a gathering of entrepreneurs, bloggers and celebrities across various industries in Round Top, Texas, a tiny-yet-chic antiquing town with a population of 90 just outside of Austin (where she lives with husband Matthew McConaughey.) The event was put on by Camila’s lifestyle brand Women of Today and tickets were open to the public for a series of panels and workshops on April 1.

Pop star Andy Grammer provided live entertainment at a private dinner on March 31, which took place at boutique hotel and event space The Vintage Round Top, performing his hits “Honey, I’m Good” and “Keep Your Head Up” for an intimate crowd.

Top Chef winner Kristen Kish cooked the elegant dinner that included salmon crudo, fresh pasta and strawberries with meringue, and Bar Rescue star Rob Floyd crafted his specialty cocktails for guests, including the stunningly purple butterfly tea lemonade.

Also in attendance were HGTV’s Fixer Upper carpenter Clint Harp and his wife Kelly, Australian supermodel Nicole Trunfio, and lifestyle influencer Ashley Rose of the popular D.I.Y. blog Sugar and Cloth.

“When you create meaningful [experiences], people hold on to those memories,” said Camila. “We work really hard to bring unique experiences that our community may have not had the chance to be a part of otherwise.”

Get the party started in your own home with Camila’s quick-and-easy beet hummus recipe below.

3 garlic cloves
1 tsp ground cumin
3 medium beets, cooked
Sliced almonds, feta cheese, thinly-sliced scallions, and sliced radishes, for garnish

1. In food processor combine all ingredients and puree until creamy. If it’s too thick, add a little water to get to desired consistency.
