Cameron Diaz in talks to star opposite Keanu Reeves in the dark comedy Outcome, which Jonah Hill will direct and also star in.

Diaz’s long list of screen credits include Something About MaryThe Mask, the Shrek animated franchise and the Charlie’s Angels films. Reeves recently reprised his titular role in the hit John Wick franchise, starring in the fourth film, which hit theaters in March 2023.

Outcome, which landed at Apple Studios a year ago, is also being written by Hill and Ezra Woods and will be produced by Matt Dines, Ali Goodwin and Hill under their Strong Baby banner. The film reteams Hill and Apple Original Films as they are also developing a Grateful Dead biopic with Martin Scorsese’s Sikelia Productions.

Scorsese will direct that project, with Hill starring and producing under Strong Baby and Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski writing. Hill, Dines and Goodwin will also produce for Strong Baby.

Strong Baby produced the Netflix comedy You People starring Hill, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Eddie Murphy and Lauren London. Hill, best known for his comedies and his Oscar-nominated performance in Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street, made his feature directorial debut with 2018’s well-received coming-of-age drama Mid90s. He followed that up with Stutz, 2022’s critically acclaimed documentary that tackled mental health issues.

Hill and Strong Baby are repped by WME, LBI Entertainment and Yorn Levine. Reeves is repped by WME, Sugar23 and Ziffren. Diaz is repped by LBI.
