Jamie Foxx has had an emotional roller coaster of a year. After being hospitalized with a “medical complication” in April, the Oscar winner recently made a triumphant comeback to Hollywood. He’s also celebrating his daughter Corinne Foxx’s engagement to her longtime boyfriend Joe Hooten. With the actor and his family ending the year on a positive note, there are still some who just can’t let them have nice things.

When he became ill, Foxx was shooting the film “Back in Action” alongside Cameron Diaz. According to Deadline, rumors have recently popped up that he behaved badly on set, making everyone “miserable.” Well Diaz is disputing that nonsense, calling him “the cheerleader for the entire crew.”

The rumors questioned the “Ray” star’s professionalism and hinted that working with Jamie made Diaz, who hasn’t made a movie since “Annie,” want to go back into semi-retirement. She says this is absolutely not true, noting that all productions have “hiccups,” but nothing out of the norm happened on “Back in Action.”

The “Charlies Angel” star called Jamie “classy,” as he chose to focus on his recovery and not address the rumors and gossip.

“He’s like, ‘Nope. Just let them [talk],’” Diaz said. “We know the truth. Still, it just really made me angry.”

“Back in Action” is still in post-production, so Netflix hasn’t released any details on its release. However, Foxx did appear in the streamer’s much-talked about sci-fi/comedy “They Cloned Tyrone” and Prime Video’s legal drama “The Burial,” both of which are available now.
