Cameron Diaz & Benji Madden Had a Very Rare Date Night With This A-Lister After Their Baby News

It was a parent’s night out for Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden on Saturday, March 23 after surprising the world by announcing the birth of their second baby the day before. Mom and dad took a night off from enjoying their baby boy to join in on a celebration of a different kind — an A-list birthday party.
Diaz, 51, and Madden, 45, were photographed at a party for actor Rob Lowe’s milestone 60th birthday in Santa Barbra, California. The typically private couple kept it casual in all black looks in photos obtained by People Magazine. Diaz sported a simple jacket, shirt and pants combo while carrying a brown box and flower branches in her hands. As usual, she looked fresh-faced and stunning with simple makeup. Madden wore a baseball cap with a black denim jacket.

The Good Charlotte singer and The Other Woman star were not the only famous couple in attendance to celebrate Lowe. Inside, they joined Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband Brad Falchuck, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi and Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo.
Diaz and Madden’s outing marks their first public sighting since revealing they welcome a son via surrogate, their second child. The couple, who married in 2015, welcomed a daughter, Raddix, in 2019.

After announcing the birth of baby Cardinal, insiders reported that Diaz is overjoyed after expanding her young family. “They were always hoping for a second baby, because they love being parents,” a source said. “For years, Cameron wanted to be a mom. She gets very emotional when she talks about the long journey to motherhood. She feels beyond lucky to now have two children.”
Maddix revealed the baby news in an Instagram caption, writing: “We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our Son, Cardinal Madden.”
“He is awesome and We are all so happy he is here! For the kids safety and privacy we won’t be posting any pictures- but he’s a really cute. We are feeling so blessed and grateful.”
The couple, who have never shared photos of their daughter, made a similar announcement when their daughter was born. In a now-deleted Instagram post, they wrote: “We are so happy, blessed and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden. She has completely captured our hearts and completed our family. While we are overjoyed to share this news, we also feel a strong instinct to protect our little one’s privacy. So we won’t be posting pictures or sharing any more details, other than the fact that she is really really cute!! Some would even say RAD.”
It is not clear when the baby boy was born but we love seeing Madden and Diaz take advantage of a rare date night! Also in attendance to celebrate Diaz’s Sex Tape co-star turning 60 was Jennifer Aniston, Zoe Saldaña, Amy Poehler, Kevin Costner and Robert Downey Jr.
