Cameron Boyce's father is still reeling from his son's sudden death.
Victor Boyce shared a message on Wednesday night, thanking fans for their support, alongside what is probably the last photo taken of the actor.
"My son. Just hours before he was snatched from our lives," he wrote.
Victor added, "I miss him terribly. I hope that no one ever has to feel the agony I’m feeling but no one is immune to tragedy. The outpouring of love and support our family continues to receive is so beautiful and appreciated."
He concluded by saying, "Thank you all for helping us through our worst possible situation.
Cameron's Disney co-star, Dove Cameron, commented on the post, writing, "i love you and your whole family so much and forever. there was life before this, and now life after this. my thoughts have not left you and they will stay with you."
Dove posted a video earlier this week about her friend's passing, saying it felt weird to post about him on social media because she "felt really emotional and private and intimate and social media is the opposite of that."
“I’ve been unsuccessful thinking about trying to summarize something where there are no adequate words in the English language,” she explained of her grief. "I’ve been mostly quiet or expressive through crying. I’ve never stuttered and unable to speak before these last few days. My system is still in shock, my brain is still foggy and full of holes.”
The 20-year-old died on Saturday at his home in Los Angeles. At the time, his family released a statement and revealed he suffered from a seizure, but The Blast has learned he also quietly suffered from epilepsy.
Law enforcement sources told us that Boyce had a history of epileptic seizures, and his family relayed that information to investigators after the young star died.
"He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated," Boyce's family said.
They added, "The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him."
Since his passing, stars like Adam Sandler, Debby Ryan and more have paid tribute to Boyce.
As The Blast first reported, Boyce was prescribed anti-seizure medication and investigators want to determine what role, if any, the medication might have played in his untimely passing.
After an autopsy did not reveal a cause of death, investigators will now wait for the results of the toxicology exam to help determine what led to Boyce's death.
According to our sources, investigators want to determine if Boyce had been taking his anti-seizure medication for his epilepsy and, if so, how much.
We're also told investigators want to see if he took anything else that may have reacted poorly with the prescription drug he was already taking.
