Cameron Boyce Official Cause of Death Revealed as Massive Epileptic Seizure

Cameron Boyce died during a massive epileptic seizure, this according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office.

According to officials, Boyce's "sudden" and "unexpected" death was directly related to epilepsy.

In the early afternoon of July 6, Boyce was found unresponsive and slumped over the side of his bed at his home in Los Angeles.

Boyce's roommates called 911 and began CPR until paramedics arrived. The Disney star was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials were told Boyce was diagnosed with epilepsy three years ago, and had several "major seizures" over the years, but they had been months apart.

He was also prescribed the drug, Keppra, to deal with the ongoing condition.

In the wake of Boyce's death, Disney cancelled the red carpet premiere of his upcoming movie, "Descendants 3," and promised to donate to charity in his honor.

They also released a statement saying, "From a young age, Cameron Boyce dreamed of sharing his extraordinary artistic talents with the world. As a young man, he was fueled by a strong desire to make a difference in peoples' lives through his humanitarian work. He was an incredibly talented performer, a remarkably caring and thoughtful person and, above all else, he was a loving and dedicated son, brother, grandson and friend."

His family recently launched The Cameron Boyce Foundation, which promises to make donations to charities that the star was passionate about during his life.

Boyce's father and sister recently attended a ceremony for director Kenny Ortega, who received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Funeral plans or a public memorial for Boyce has not yet been announced.
