The Milwaukee Bucks landed Damian Lillard in a blockbuster three-team deal that shocked everyone this week. Cam’ron and Snoop Dogg offered their thoughts on the landscape-shifting move.

Killa Cam took to Instagram on Wednesday (Sept. 27) soon after the trade was announced and claimed that he spoke directly with Dame. “So I just got the text from Damian Lillard myself. It’s true, he’s going to the Milwaukee Bucks,” the Harlem rapper said. “It’s no sources that you have to say that’s been told to you. I actually spoke to Dame via text. He’s going to the Milwaukee Bucks. Congratulations, Dame Lillard. Let’s go get that Championship, ni**a.”

Uncle Snoop is a proud Los Angeles Lakers fan but also showed love to the new member of the Bucks. “Dame Lillard to the Bucks? That’s good,” the Long Beach, Calif., rapper said. “Going to the East, nephew. Ball out. You got Giannis on your squad now. Ugh! The East just got nasty. Lakers, we know what we gon’ do. But congrats to my nephew, Dame Lillard. Dame Time. Go get yours, nephew.” Check out the videos below.

Damian Lillard spent his entire 11-year career with the Portland Trail Blazers before formally requesting a trade in July. The Miami Heat were an early favorite to land the superstar guard, but the two teams could not come to terms on an agreement that would benefit both sides. NBA sources reported that a new team had entered the conversation this week and on Wednesday (Sept. 27) the official three-team trade was announced.

The Blazers gave up Lillard and received DeAndre Ayton, Jrue Holiday, Toumani Camara, the Bucks’ 2029 unprotected first-round draft pick, and unprotected Milwaukee swap rights in 2028 and 2030. The Phoenix Suns, the third team involved, landed Jusuf Nurkic, Grayson Allen, Nassir Little, and Keon Johnson.

Lillard joining Giannis Antetokounmpo marks the first time that two players have joined forces after both averaging 30 points per game the previous season. With a superstar point guard to take the attention off of the Greek Freak, it’s very possible the Bucks can return to the mountaintop and win their second championship in four years.
