Cam’ron feels that Taylor Swift has eclipsed Kanye West in fame and popularity, and wants nothing to do with the controversial rap star.

During a recent episode of Cam and Ma$e’s It Is What It Is podcast on Tuesday (Feb. 13), the Harlem native reacted to rumors that Swift had West removed from Super Bowl LVIII, a story which West himself has since denied.

Cam’ron points to the checkered history between Swift and Ye that dates back to the 2009 MTV VMAs, during which he crashed the stage during her acceptance speech.

“Tried to diss that young lady years ago and she ain’t forget about it,” Killa said while discussing the rumor, adding that the experience surely rubbed Swift the wrong way.

“She don’t want to be seen with you, let alone the Super Bowl screen,” he added. “That man got up there, embarrassed Taylor Swift at them awards, tried to go Beyoncé crazy.”

The 48-year-old went one step further, arguing that the “Cruel Summer” singer’s star has shone brighter than West’s ever since their VMAs encounter. “Taylor Swift, since that moment, became a[n] astronomical superstar — awards on top of awards, record sales on top of record sales — and now, to me at this particular point, Taylor Swift is a bigger star than Kanye.”

He continued, alluding to the added promotion and visibility she’s been given by the NFL due to her presence at Kansas City Chiefs games in support of her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

“There’s a reason the NFL is showing her 17 times a game, each and every week. That’s just my opinion. I believe with all this stuff going on with Kanye now, his celebrity kind of died down. Kanye just put a[n] album out last week, I didn’t even know.”

Cam’ron and Kanye’s professional relationship dates back to the early ’00s, when West contributed to Cam’s Roc-A-Fella Records debut Come Home With Me in 2002. West would later produce and appear on Cam’ron’s 2005 single “Down and Out” from the latter’s fourth studio album Purple Haze.
