Cam’ron Raps Over Lil Yachty And J. Cole’s “The Secret Recipe” Beat

Cam’ron was mentioned in Lil Yachty and J. Cole’s recent collaboration “The Secret Recipe,” and evidently that inspired him to rap. The 47-year-old lyricist added his own verse to the track’s beat this week.

Killa Cam shared a video on Instagram on Monday (Oct. 16). It opens with Cole’s verse, where he raps, “I dine on your favorite, one verse’ll take his breath/ I probably put more ni**as on pause than Cam and Mason Beth,” before transitioning to the Harlem rapper standing in front of an elevator. Cam then raps “Stay content, raise the rent, we living on straight cement/ I lament, but dread, in your forehead I will make a dent.”

Later in the verse, she shouts out Nas with the lines, “Hell up in Harlem, but listen, I gave Harlem hell/ So I’m dressed like Nas in ’94, ain’t hard to tell,” and O.J. Simpson with, “With O.J. in the Maybach, rolling the Fronto wrap/ Pulled that sh*t over like, ‘Juice, where the Bronco at?”

In true Cam’ron fashion, there is also a funny element to the video. In a later scene, he appears outside and dances while wearing a Freddy Kreuger mask and gloves. “Get Mine Regardless” from his project Lost Files Vol. 1 plays in the background. Check out Cam’s verse above.

Lil Yachty and J. Cole released “The Secret Recipe” at the end of September with an accompanying music video. It marked the first time that Lil Boat and the Dreamville leader had ever collaborated, and they made it worth listeners’ while as Cole delivered yet another fiery verse.

“Don’t ask how I feel ’bout no rappers, sh*t, they okay, I guess/ Incomin’ call, press the button, the one that say accept/ He FaceTime to ask for a feature and saw the face of death/ I’m on your song, your streams goin’ up, not quite the Drake effect/ But don’t complain, bi**h, take what you get and cut the label check,” he rapped.
