Cam Newton Welcomes Eighth Child, First With Girlfriend Jasmin Brown

Cam Newton and Jasmin Brown have welcomed their first baby, and Newton’s eighth altogether.

On Wednesday (Mar. 6 ), Jasmin took to social media to share a couple of after-birth videos and pictures. She joked about having to wear postpartum diapers, calling the material “annoying.”

She also joked about wanting to get back into a thong before breaking out into Sisqo’s “Thong Song.” Brown and Newton’s newborn could be heard in the background as Jasmin asked whether she should be in a thong or a diaper.

Brown never confirmed the baby’s gender. 

“Really love these shorts I got from the hospital,” the comedian said. “Um, they’re nice and high-waisted because my diaper is high as hell. How long we gotta wear this diaper for? No, seriously. Real question…This sh*t is annoying. I wanna wear a thong.”

“You want me to wear a diaper because you have on a diaper?” she asked her baby. “Okay, we’ll be diaper twins.”

In January, Jasmin had a baby shower to celebrate their new child. Newton appeared at the celebration posing for pictures with the woman carrying his eighth kid. Brown posted pictures and videos of the commemoration to her social media. She detailed how excited she was to create life and grow internally and externally as a woman.

“I had such a great time at my Baby Shower! I didn’t want it to be so’baby baby’ I wanted it to feel more like a party! A grad bash! A celebration from leaving the streets to enter the ultimate hood! MOTHERHOOD!” she typed.

“Thank you again @toriwilliamsevents for curating such an awesome evening! And to @delanohalo for capturing these timeless moments! Also my boo @latashawright for making me look and feel soooo beautiful! A time was had! THANK YOU to all my friends that flew in town JUST to celebrate with me! It meant so so much. Thank you to My Man,” she concluded the post.

The former NFL quarterback previously talked about his relationship with Jasmin. During a 2023 episode of Cam’s Freaky Friday show, Newton stated that he and Brown were “in tune.”

“First off, with me and mine, she already know. It ain’t no privacy,” he said. “We [are] in there together. That’s our thing. I know this is TMI, but that’s my dawg. We got the saying where we’re like, ‘we’re two retired thots that came together.’ We see both of our jerseys in the rafters…Hers got more dust on it than me. Mine recently just went up there.”

“We’re in tune. I’m so in tune that there’s nothing we can’t talk about. I think that’s what’s most important,” he added. “There’s no hiding, nothing. You know I don’t go through phones. I don’t do that. The thing is for me, I know my partner so much, that I have to know triggers that uh uh, she ain’t right.”
