Cam Newton Dared Kevin Hart To Bench Press 225 Pounds And Hilarity Ensued

If you dare Kevin Hart to do anything, he’ll most likely step up to the challenge. The famed comedian and his Ride Along 2 co-star Ice Cube, joined NFL star Cam Newton’s charity event during a stop in North Carolina. The trio donated $7,500 to Harding High School for a new weight room, but one person tested out the equipment to make sure everything was copacetic.

After a challenge from the Carolina Panthers’ quarterback, Hart decided to bench press 225 pounds, stating “I need silence,” before busting three reps. “Message to all young little guys in here, you are only as small as your mind allows you to be.”

Engaging in a mellow dab with Newton, the Philly native gave himself a pat on the back for successfully lifting without breaking a sweat in his Christmas-themed sweater.

Cube and Hart are currently on a national press tour promoting their film Ride Along 2, which rolls into theaters on Jan. 15.
