“When Calls the Heart” Star Kevin McGarry Says ‘There’s a Chance’ He'll Sing at Wedding to Kayla Wallace

The Hallmark favorite also teased a few "familiar faces" may be invited to his upcoming wedding

Kevin McGarry might just put on a show for his wedding guests!

The When Calls the Heart star, 39, shared during an interview with Entertainment Tonight that he could hop up on stage and sing at his upcoming nuptials to costar Kayla Wallace.

“There’s always a chance,” the actor said. “Champagne, I imagine, is being served so ... there’s a chance that could happen. And Kayla too.”

When ET’s Deidre Behar asked if the musical couple might perform something together at the wedding, McGarry shared, “We always play. We’ll play music together.”

“That’s how it all started actually,” he continued. “We, you know, collaborated ... we do that all the time. So, who knows? We haven’t planned [anything for] right now.”

McGarry also noted — along with the fact that he plans to go with a classic tuxedo for the ceremony — that he preferred personal vows to traditional ones.

“You know you’ve got an audience. You gotta throw a joke or two in there,” he shared.

However, when it comes to performing a choreographed dance, McGarry is opting out. “I live my life freestyle as you go,” the actor said. “Choreographed, I mean, that's just too much pressure. Yeah, I need to just be in the moment.”

As for where the wedding ceremony would take place, the Heartland alum said he and his fiancée have “talked about” destination weddings. However, he thinks “it’s going to be kept in Canada” since their family is there.

For plans after the wedding, the actor admitted that “both of us would rather go explore a city” than go on a tropical vacation.

“Yeah, we’ve done the tropical stuff, and it's great,” he said. “[But] we both get antsy after three days of sitting around.”

“I want to learn and eat different foods and talk to different people,” he added.

When it comes to other wedding details like the cake or whether they’ll do a first look before the ceremony, McGarry was sure to note that it’s “whatever Kayla wants.”

He also shared that there will be some familiar faces on his and Wallace’s guest list, including a few of their When Calls the Heart costars.

“It’s going to be intimate, but I know there will be a couple of familiar faces there,” he teased.
