The rapper released her anticipated fifth studio album, “Pink Friday 2," on Friday, Dec. 8. It was originally set to be released Nov. 17, but was pushed to December.

What exactly is a 'Barb?' What is 'Gag City?'
For the more casual listeners of Minaj, there's a lot of lore to catch up on.
First of all, the name “Barbz” comes from the rapper referencing to herself as a “Harajuku Barbie.“ Minaj explains back in 2009 that the nickname combined her appreciation of Tokyo street culture and its "free-spirited, girls just wanna have fun" attitude with the status of Barbie.
The name was shortened to “Barbz” by her fanbase, who have been calling themselves that ever since.
As for "Gag City," you might have seen the memes all over X this past month. In the days leading up to the release of “Pink Friday 2,” Barbz created the AI-generated pink utopia to promote the album, adding that fictional characters and celebrities were arriving to "Gag City" in anticipation of Minaj’s album.
