There's a new basketball power couple in town: Caitlin Clark and boyfriend Connor McCaffery.

Clark, the point guard phenom out of Iowa who was the number one overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft, celebrated her milestone achievement alongside her boyfriend, fellow player McCaffery, who at 23 is no slouch on the court either, having played in college and is now pursuing a coaching career.

Here's a full timeline of Caitlin Clark and boyfriend Connor McCaffery’s relationship, since we've already watched Love & Basketball like twice this week.

April 24, 2024: Clark posts a gushing tribute to McCaffery on Instagram in honor of their one-year anniversary. “One year of the best mems w my fav person,” she captioned a black-and-white photo of the couple at the WNBA draft with a black heart emoji. “You make everyday better and I can’t wait for many more adventures together… Love you 🤞🏻😇”

He replied to her post, writing “love you” with her signature heart hands emoji.

Of course, he also posted his own tribute on Instagram, featuring a black-and-white photo of the couple along with a video of Clark making a meme-worthy eye roll. “One year w the best 🫶🏼 doing life w u has been easy, and you never cease to amaze me,” he captioned the post. “Can’t wait to watch u live out ur dreams in person 🤞🏼 Love you ❤️.”

“Nice video,” she replied in one comment, also replying with the heart-eyes and black heart emojis.

April 15, 2024: After Clark was drafted by the Indiana Fever, McCaffery responded cheekily to a question about his reaction to her all-Prada draft day outfit. Clark replied to his emojis with one of her own: the happy eyes-welling-up one.

Clark also posted cute couple pictures from the post-Draft celebrations to her Instagram Stories, which McCaffery reposted with the heart hands emoji.

Spring 2024: As Clark pursued and broke the all-time NCAA scoring record, McCaffery cheered her on, using his X account to repost content about her achievements, and writing his own, supportive posts.

January 22, 2024: McCaffery wished Caitlin a very happy birthday on Instagram, writing, “🤍 Wish I was there to celebrate with you - you deserve the best day ❤️ Golden Bday / T Swift year will be the best yet. With all that you’ve already accomplished, there is so much more in store for you and your special self. I admire you in every way and I love you 🖤.” Clark commented both “My fav person 🖤🫶🏻 I love you con! ☺️” and “acting like u a T swift fan tho is crazy , but I will let this slide hehe🤍.”

2023: This seems to be the year the pair got together. The ‘22-’23 season was McCaffery's senior year at the University of Iowa, which Clark also attended. While a student, McCaffery played both baseball and basketball, and his father, Fran McCaffery, was and still is the basketball program's head coach. He also has a younger brother, Patrick, who plays collegiate basketball as well.

After graduating, McCaffery took a job as a team assistant for the Indiana Pacers, per People. The couple went grid-official in August 2023 with a sweet photo on Clark's Instagram.
