The chic Cafe CoCol in Socorro has closed due to a family member's health crisis.

Lizbeth Carlos, the owner of the coffeehouse at 10180 Socorro Road in Hacienda Apodaca in Socorro, posted the news on Instagram, asking for prayers for her sister, Teresa Carlos, known as Tree.

Lizbeth Carlos created a GoFundMe for her sister, saying she is on life support after being rushed to the hospital emergency room on June 28.

"She has undergone multiple blood transfusions, lab work, and MRI’s. On Wednesday, a biopsy of her bone marrow will be done in hopes of determining what the cause of her illness is. This has been such a difficult thing to see my sister go through," she posted July 5. "At this point, there is no word on how much longer she will be there."

Carlos asks for prayers for her sister. The account has raised more than $7,000 toward a goal of $20,000.

"This is a difficult ask and a difficult time. But if you know Tree, you know the beauty of a person she is, and she deserves all we can do for her," she stated.
