CAA Signs Comedian Matt Mathews

EXCLUSIVE: CAA has signed Matt Mathews, a stand-up comedian, social media star, multi-award-winning boudoir photographer, and author based in Birmingham, Alabama.

Mathews rose to social media fame during the pandemic with candid posts and hilarious short-form videos, garnering more than eight million followers and 528 million views in the past year. Known for his relatable and candid humor, his stand-up covers diverse topics, from farm life to navigating being a gay man in Alabama.

Mathews is also known for bringing his popular video series Confessions with Matt to the live stage, offering a real-time comedic spin on audience members sharing their deepest secrets. He has sold over 100,000 tickets in the last year.

Publishing the autobiography Uncovered in 2019, he’s currently headlining his comedy tour “When That Thang Get Ta Thang’n,” with announced dates extending through 2024. On July 20th, he will tape his first stand-up special at the Alabama Theatre in his hometown of Birmingham, with 800 Pound Gorilla producing.
