C-Murder’s Alleged Murder Victim’s Brother Blasts Kim Kardashian For Fighting For His Release

Kim Kardashian has been slammed by the brother of C-Murder’s alleged murder victim for her efforts in attempting to get the rapper released from prison.
George Thomas, the brother of deceased murder victim Steve Thomas, recently appeared on the BOSS TALK 101 podcast to air his grievances, calling Kardashian’s defense of the rapper a “slap in the face.” He also suggested that the reality TV star was unaware of all of the details regarding Thomas’ murder and blamed efforts to overturn C-Murder’s conviction on forcing the family to relive their traumatic loss.
“It’s a high-profile case, so you jumped on a case without reading all of the facts,” Thomas said in reference to Kardashian. “Had you done the research, you would say: ‘Hey, I’m not getting in this case.’ And then my family can’t properly mourn because every year — whether it’s BET, whether it’s something on YouTube, where there’s something else coming forward — it’s always he’s innocent, he was railroaded.”
Thomas’ comments come weeks after Kardashian shared an update on the appellate case via a statement on social media. In the letter, she criticized investigating officers, including the local sheriff, accusing them of negligence and harassment.
“There is no remaining evidence that even suggests that Corey Miller is any more culpable than the hundreds of patrons who were at the Platinum Club on January 12, 2002, when Steve Thomas was tragically shot,” she wrote at the time.
“Rather than search for the real perpetrator of the crime, the local sheriff’s office zeroed in on proving a case against Mr. Miller. The lead detective harassed multiple witnesses and mishandled the case to such a degree that the trial court had no choice but to grant Mr. Miller a new trial after he was convicted in 2003.”
C-Murder was initially arrested and indicted in January 2002 for the murder of Thomas, who passed away after being beaten and shot during an altercation at a New Orleans nightclub that same month. Following a pair of trials, the rapper was ultimately convicted of second degree murder and sentenced to life in prison in 2009.
