Apple TV+ has released the first teaser trailer for the fourth season of its critically acclaimed alternate history drama “For All Mankind,” which is set to make its release via the streamer on Nov. 10.

“Rocketing into the new millennium in the eight years since Season 3, Happy Valley has rapidly expanded its footprint on Mars by turning former foes into partners. Now 2003, the focus of the space program has turned to the capture and mining of extremely valuable, mineral-rich asteroids that could change the future of both Earth and Mars. But simmering tensions between the residents of the now-sprawling international base threaten to undo everything they are working towards,” reads the show’s official logline.
The Season 4 cast sports a slew of returnees, including Joel Kinnaman, Wrenn Schmidt, Krys Marshall, Edi Gathegi, Cynthy Wu and Coral Peña. Toby Kebbell, Tyner Rushing, Daniel Stern and Svetlana Efremova join to round out its cast.
“For All Mankind” was created by Emmy award winner Ronald D. Moore and Emmy nominees Ben Nedivi and Matt Wolpert. alongside Moore and Maril Davis of Tall Ship Productions, as well as David Weddle, Bradley Thompson and Seth Edelstein.

ACQUISITIONS
“Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen” has been acquired by CBS to temporarily take over the 12:37 a.m. timeslot vacated by “The Late Late Show with James Corden.” That timeslot will eventually be replaced with a new version of the former Comedy Central series “@midnight” — but after the Hollywood strikes are resolved. For now, “Comics Unleashed” will fill the slot in a limited run with nightly airings beginning on Monday, Sept. 18, the network announced Monday.

FIRST LOOKS
Peacock has released the trailer for their upcoming unscripted horror anthology “Suburban Screams,” from horror veteran John Carpenter. Set to release on Friday, Oct. 13, the six-part series is “an exploration of true tales of terror that took place in seemingly perfect American hometowns.”
Further description of the series reveals that “Each episode will delve into the monstrous evil that lurks beneath the surface of friendly suburbia through the lens of one frightful tale. In addition to firsthand accounts, the episodes will include cinematic reenactments, personal archives, and historic town press coverage.”
John Carpenter is the director behind classic horror films including “Halloween,” “The Fog” and “The Thing.”
“Suburban Screams” is executive produced by Carpenter, Sandy King, Tony DiSanto, Jordan Roberts, Patrick Smith and Andy Portnoy. It is produced by Storm King Productions and DIGA Studios. The series is directed by Carpenter, Roberts, Michelle Latimer and Jan Pavlacky.

Apple TV+ has released the trailer for its upcoming drama series “Lessons in Chemistry,” adapted from the bestselling novel of the same name by Bonnie Garmus. Starring Brie Larson, the first two episodes of the series are set to be released on Oct. 13, with new episodes releasing every week afterwards through Nov. 24.
Brie Larson stars as Elizabeth Zott, a brilliant scientist whose dreams are deferred by the rampant sexism of the early 1950s. As the plot summary reveals, “When Elizabeth finds herself fired from her lab, she accepts a job as a host on a TV cooking show, and sets out to teach a nation of overlooked housewives — and the men who are suddenly listening — a lot more than recipes.”
Set to Harry Styles’ debut single “Sign of the Times,” the trailer features the highs and lows Zott faces in both her personal and professional life, and how she uses her television platform to talk about more than just food.
In addition to Larson, the series also stars Lewis Pullman, Aja Naomi King, Kevin Sussman, Patrick Walker and Thomas Mann. Lee Eisenberg is showrunner and Susannah Grant serves as executive producer alongside Larson, Michael Costigan and Jason Bateman for Aggregate Films. Sarah Adina Smith directed and executive produced the first two episodes, and Natalie Sandy serves as executive producer for Piece of Work Entertainment with Eisenberg. Louise Shore also serves as executive producer.

Max has released the official trailer for its pirate-y, period rom-com series “Our Flag Means Death,” starring Rhys Darby and Taika Waititi.
“Our Flag Means Death” is loosely based on the life of Stede Bonnet (Darby), a would-be pirate of the 1700s. The series follows Stede as he becomes captain of the ship Revenge and encounters the notorious Captain Blackbeard (Waititi), with whom he finds love while at sea.
Returning Season 2 cast members include Samson Kayo, Vico Ortiz, Ewen Bremner, Joel Fry, Matthew Maher, Kristian Nairn, Con O’Neill, David Fane, Samba Schutte, Nat Faxon, and Leslie Jones. New cast members include Ruibo Qian, Madeleine Sami, Anapela Polataivao, and Erroll Shand, and guest stars Minnie Driver and Bronson Pinchot.
Waititi also serves as executive producer alongside creator and showrunner David Jenkins, who also directed the first two episodes of Season 2. Garrett Basch, Dan Halsted, Adam Stein, and Antoine Douaihy also serve as executive producers. Season 2 consists of eight episodes and will debut with three episodes on Oct. 5, followed by two every week leading up to the Oct. 26 finale.

Hulu and Disney+ have released the trailer for their upcoming series “Goosebumps,” premiering Oct. 13. Based on the popular R.L. Stine Scholastic book series of the same name, the ten-part adaptation will begin with a five-episode release as part of Disney+’s “Hallowstream” and Hulu’s “Huluween” celebrations.
The show tracks five high schoolers investigating the tragic death of another teenager, Harold Biddle, who died three decades earlier. At the same time, they find out secrets from their parents’ past.
“Goosebumps” stars Justin Long, Rachael Harris and newcomers Zack Morris, Isa Briones, Miles McKenna, Ana Yi Puig and Will Price.
Nicholas Stoller and Rob Letterman developed the series and are also executive producers, in addition to Hilary Winston, Neal H. Moritz, Iole Lucchese, Pavun Shetty, Conor Welch, Caitlin Friedman, Erin O’Malley and Kevin Murphy.

Megan Thee Stallion is bringing hot girl energy to the first teaser trailer for the new season of “Big Mouth,” which is set to premiere globally on Oct. 20.
Megan joins the slate of Season 7 “Big Mouth” guest stars alongside Lupita Nyong’o, Zazie Beetz, Padma Lakshmi, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Billy Porter. Lin-Manuel Miranda, too, will sport an original song on the season.
Season 7 will follow the students of Bridgeton middle school as they make the transition to high school. “Change is the only constant as our characters are faced with a new school, new friends, new adversaries, and new Hormone Monsters.”

MGM+ has released the official trailer for Season 2 of its romantic adventure “Billy the Kid,” with its first part debuting on Oct. 15.
Inspired by the story of America’s most infamous outlaw, Season 2 will see Billy battle head-to-head with his old friend Jesse Evans and the corrupt powers of the Santa Fe Ring. When shots are fired, the conflict erupts into the bloody Lincoln County War. Amidst the fighting, Billy will struggle to hang onto his soul – and to the love of his life.
The second part of “Billy the Kid” Season 2 will release in 2024.
“Billy the Kid” stars Tom Blyth in the titular role alongside Daniel Webber as Jesse Evans. Creator, writer and executive producer Michael Hirst returns for the series’ second season alongside executive producers Donald De Line, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey.

Max has debuted the trailer for their upcoming animated comedy series “Young Love,” adapted from Matthew A. Cherry’s Academy Award-winning short film “Hair Love.”
The series follows a pair of young Black parents voiced by Scott Mescudi, better known as Kid Cudi, and “Insecure” creator Issa Rae.
The logline for the show reads: “’Young Love’ gives an honest, heartfelt, and comedic glimpse into the lives of African American millennial parents Stephen Love and Angela Young as they experience the relatable ups and downs of modern life. In remission following a battle with cancer, Angela struggles to balance her work as a stylist with the demands of parenthood, while Stephen attempts to carve out a career as a musician in an ultra-competitive industry.”
In addition to Mescudi and Rae, the series also features the voice talents of Brooke Monroe Conaway, Loretta Devine, Harry Lennix, Tamar Braxton, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Debra Wilson, among others.
Matthew A. Cherry, Monica A. Young, Karen Rupert Toliver, Carl Jones, David Steward II, Carl Reed serve as executive producers; Karen Malach serves as producer. “Young Love” is produced in partnership with Sony Pictures Animation.

AWARDS
At just 18 years old, Vance Walker has been named the Season 15 winner of “American Ninja Warrior,” making him the first-ever victor with cerebral palsy.
On Tuesday, Walker became the third-ever contestant to walk away with the coveted $1 million prize, which is only awarded to contestants who advance through all four stages of the national finals and climb the 75-foot Mt. Midoriyama rope in less than 30 seconds.
Walker was diagnosed with a rare form of cerebral palsy (spastic diplegia) at 18 months, forcing him to wear leg braces throughout his childhood. His parents were originally told Walker would never be able to walk without said braces, with him still engaging in routine physical therapy appointments and stretching to maintain the condition.
“It’s amazing to be able to live out your dream, especially when everyone said you’d never be able to,” Walker said. “In the words of Post Malone, ‘They said I wouldn’t be nothing, now they always say congratulations.’”
Ahead of competing on the 15th season of “American Ninja Warrior,” Walker previously won “American Ninja Warrior Junior” twice in its first two seasons. He made his debut on the mainstay series during Season 13, going on to place third overall.

Emmy winner Carrie Preston will be honored with the Canopy Award at this year’s North Fork TV Festival. The 2023 North Fork TV Festival marks the event’s return to an in-person slate of screenings, set to take place on Nov. 18.
The Canopy Award commemorates a New York TV community member, celebrating its recipient’s creative ambitions of diverse storytelling in the space. Past Canopy recipients include J. Smith-Cameron, Jeremy Sisto, Kelsey Grammer and Aida Turturro. In tribute to the reward, a Q&A session with Preston will be moderated by Jenn Lyon.
“We are honored to have Carrie Preston as this year’s recipient of the Canopy Award,” said festival founder Noah Doyle. “Preston is the embodiment of what this award stands for. Carrie’s artistic range, involvement in front of and behind the camera and magnetic presence as an actress makes her a no brainer when it comes to this award. Over the years, Carrie has been a distinctly powerful voice within New York’s television landscape, which is what the North Fork TV Festival aims to highlight each year.”
Additional programming includes “Frasier: The Next Chapter Beings – A Conversation with Tom Russo,” a Q&A with the “Frasier” executive producer about the series returns this fall. Additional in-person screenings of the Independent Script & TV Pilot Competition winners will be showcased.
CASTING
Ben Stiller, Steve Buscemi, Jane Lynch and Dave Franco are some of the guest stars set to join “Krapopolis,” Dan Harmon’s upcoming animated Fox series. The show is set to debut on Sept. 24 at 9 p.m. ET with its first two episodes.
Also Joining the guest voice cast are Susan Sarandon, Joel Mchale, Yvette Nicole Brown, Will Forte, Daveed Diggs, Tephanie Beatriz, David Cross, Keith David, Chris Hardwick, Tim Meadows, Bobby Moynihan, Jim Rash, Rob Riggle, Tim Robinson, Michael Urie, Alanna Ubach and Amber Stevens West.
Per the series synopsis, “Set in mythical ancient Greece, ‘Krapopolis’ tells the story of a dysfunctional family of humans, gods and monsters trying to run one of the world’s first cities, while also trying their best to not kill each other in the process. Featuring the voices of Emmy Award-winner Hannah Waddingham, Richard Ayoade, Matt Berry, Pam Murphy and Duncan Trussell, the series centers on a flawed family of humans, gods, and monsters attempting to guide humanity out of the savage wilderness and into a new lifestyle experiment they’re calling ‘civilization.’”

MitúTV will now be available to stream on Comcast entertainment platforms including Xfinity, X1, Xfinity Flex starting Sept. 15 and later on Xumo TV. MitúTV, launched by Latino entertainment company NGLmitú, is home to new programs “Three G’s” and “Girl Let Me Tell You.”

CrimeCon, an annual convention for true crime fans, will now be available to stream live via Fox Nation, giving subscribers a look into all 12 key presentations set across the three-day weekend.
Sessions include a conversation with former “How to Catch a Predator” host Chris Hansen, a keynote with legal analyst Nancy Grace and a look into Paul Holes’ white whale case.
Fox Nation will also be hosting a wide range of content like interviews with some of CrimeCon’s anticipated guests. This year’s event is presented by Oxygen True Crime and will run from Sept. 22 to Sept 24 in Orlando, Fla.
EVENTS
The 39th annual Boston Film Festival has unveiled its 2023 film lineup, which will include a first look at the upcoming NBC series “Found” from Nkechi Okoro Caroll, along with other true crime thrillers, Massachusetts spotlight films and a full slate of narrative and documentary features.
Treat Williams, who died in June, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the festival, received by his wife Pam Van Sant and son Gil Williams. The presentation of the award will follow the screening of Sean McEwen’s “American Outlaws,” which stars Williams alongside India Eisley, Emory Cohen and Sam Strike. Also honored is Dermot Mulroney, who will be awarded the Film Excellence award for his lead role in James Rowe’s “Breakwater,” the festival’s opening night feature.
Boston Film Festival 2023 will run in-person from Sept. 21 to Sept 24 and will run virtually from Sept. 22 to Sept. 30.

Vivica A. Fox, Syleena Johnson, Chanel Nicole Scott and Kendra G. are set to lead James DuBose’s In The Black Network’s inaugural talk show “Crowned,” which will make its debut via the streamer’s AVOD platform on Oct. 2.
In each episode, the four women will spark conversations surrounding their personal experiences, followed by live musical performances by guest artists.

PREMIERES
CBS’s fall daytime line up will include the return of soaps “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” along with game shows “The Price is Right” and “Let’s Make a Deal.”
Emmy-winning game show “The Price is Right” returns Sept. 25 for Season 52, with host Drew Carey. This marks Carey’s 17th season with “Price,” as the show welcomes back a full in-studio audience for the first time since 2020 and moves to a new studio in Glendale after its run at Television City in Los Angeles. “Let’s Make a Deal” will mark its 60th TV anniversary (overall) as its new season premieres Sept. 25, marking host Wayne Brady’s 15th anniversary as well.
“Y&R” returns Oct. 3 for its 51st year on television with returning cast members like Veronica Redd as Mamie Johnson and Michael Damian as Danny Romalotti, and sister soap “B&B” returns to CBS on Sept. 21 for its 37th season.
SPECIALS
TheGrio, Allen Media Group’s multimedia news organization, and the Associated Press will hold the upcoming panel “Race and Democracy: The Facts and the Fury,” to discuss issues of race and justice in America, covering topics like critical race theory and racially motivated attacks in conversation with political analysts and journalists.
The panel will include AP’s race and ethnicity editor Aaron Morrison and writer Ayanna Alexander along with theGrio’s political analyst Dr. Christina Greer and news anchor Marc Lamont Hill. The conversation will be moderated by AP’s national video journalist Noreen Nasir.
“Race and Democracy: The Facts and the Fury” is set to air Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. on theGrio Television Network and will later be available on AP’s news site.
