Saints' Marshon Lattimore may have topped Butt Fumble with Butt Interception
There is now a companion play to the Butt Fumble, Mark Sanchez’s laugh-out-loud, will-live-in-infamy moment on Thanksgiving 2012.
Meet the Butt Interception.
As if there wasn’t already enough animosity and history between the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons, now there’s a crazy interception to add to the list, from the first half of Sunday’s game in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome:
Matt Ryan’s pass for Marvin Hall is batted up by Hall, and lands on the butt of a diving Marshon Lattimore. It never touches the ground before Lattimore grips it with one leg then rolls over and claims it as his own.
Gluteus Interceptionus.
It held up on review, so there was no taking it back(side) for the Falcons.
Atlanta needs to win its final two games to repeat as NFC South champions, but right now they’re behind (wink, wink) to their rivals.
