Busy Philipps revealed on Thursday that she was raped at the age of 14.

The actress, now 39, made the admission on Instagram during a break in Dr. Christine Blasey Ford's testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee about being allegedly sexually assaulted by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Under a school photo, seemingly from the year 1993, Philipps said that it's the first time she has publicly revealed that she is a rape survivor. She told her family earlier this year.

"This is me at 14. The age I was raped," she wrote. "It's taken me 25 years to say those words. I wrote about it in my book. I finally told my parents and sister about it 4 months ago."

Ford's willingness to come forward with her own alleged story amid intense scrutiny seemingly inspired Philipps to make the reveal on Thursday morning.

"Today is the day we are silent no more. All of us," she added. "I'm scared to post this. I can't imagine what Dr. Ford is feeling right now."

The former "Freaks and Geeks" star will shed more light on the alleged incident in her upcoming book. Philipps' upcoming memoir, "This Will Only Hurt A Little," is due out on October 16 and can pre-ordered here.
