It’s “Trick-or-Heat” season!

Burger King announced that it will be releasing a Halloween bucket for a limited time in select markets.

In celebration of all that is spooky, on Friday the 13th, select Burger King restaurants will be offering limited-edition, glow-in-the-dark “Trick-or-Heat” buckets inspired by the restaurant's ghost pepper menu additions.

The company made the announcement on Oct. 1 via Instagram, sharing a meme of the standard bag and the new limited edition bucket with the text "me September 30th 11:59 pm:" and "me October 1st 12:00am." The upload's caption caption read, "we go zero-to-spooky real quick 🎃💨."

Customers in Nashville, Tennessee; Las Vegas, Nevada; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Atlanta, Georgia; can take home the bucket with any purchase for $1.

While a select few can snag the merchandise, the entire nation can indulge in the chain restaurant’s two new spooky menu items, which are receiving some help from ghost peppers. Beginning Oct. 12, customers can purchase both the Ghost Pepper Whopper and the newest menu item, the Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries.

“Earlier this year, we asked Guests if we should bring back the Ghost Pepper Whopper or introduce Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries,” Pat O’Toole, Burger King North America’s chief marketing officer, said in a press release. “The results were split, so we’re adding both products to our menus nationwide this Halloween season, giving Guests multiple ways to enjoy the perfect combination of flavor and heat.”

The fan-favorite Ghost Pepper Whopper features a flame-grilled 100% beef patty topped with spicy queso, jalapeños, bacon, and ghost pepper cheese in between a Halloween-themed orange bun topped with black sesame seeds. The returning item will be available for a limited time while supplies last.

The Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries will be available in four, eight, and 12-piece options with the customer’s choice of dipping sauce. The new fries are the fast food restaurant’s latest venture into creating and cooking unconventional fries. Previously, the chain released the Spicy Chicken Fries, Buffalo Chicken Fries, and Jalapeño Chicken Fries.

While the Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries are hitting the eatery soon, customers could expect Chicken & Waffle Fries and Chicken Parm Fries to hit their local restaurant, after the two potential menu items were recently tested in Massachusetts-area Burger Kings, per TODAY.
