After bringing Hip-Hop to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on Tuesday night (March 12),  Bun B continued the celebration of culture downtown with an on-theme afterparty. In alignment with his partnership with Crown Royal, the spirited affair included custom cocktails, cowboy hats, and signature decor, uplifting the Trill OG performer and his successful event.

Hundreds flocked from NRG stadium to Off The Record, extending the good time well into the night. DJ Mr Rogers blended top Hip-Hop and R&B hits, including multiple decades and regions. However, once Bun B and others arrived, it was a clear celebration of Texas Hip-Hop with deep cuts and classic tracks blaring through the speakers. Special guests included Le$, Slim Thug, Lil Keke, and Too Short.

Groups gathered in sections around the bar, dancing and rapping along. Some posed their posses in cozy sections, enjoying the party from the couch. Attendees of the exclusive event were able to keep the Crown Royal and Bun B headgear, as well as souvenirs from a photobooth installation.  As the night ended and the party cleared out, last-minute toasts were made in honor of Houston and the Trill Burgers creator.

The party recognized not only a sold-out concert, where Bun B brought artists including Eve, Rick Ross, and Drake for his All-American Takeover, but also his work with the whisky brand. Ahead of the fun, Crown Royal hosted the first-ever “Crown Royal Saloon & Showroom” at RodeoHouston, spotlighting rodeo history and traditions across Black and Tejano cultures. Donations were also made to Magpies and Peacocks, the nation’s only 501 (c)3 non-profit design house dedicated to the collection and sustainable reuse of post-consumer clothing.
